Re: CU at Lynah East?? - 19 years ago
Jon and I will be there, and at John Harvards before and after, with a couple friends. And we'll also be at Brown. Still thinking about signs to make for both. Hmm.... Safe travels to everyone! Looking forward to it! Let's Go Red!by KateWithThe8 - Hockey
Lynah Rink Refurbishment - 19 years ago
Though pretty much filled with the ambiguous information we've heard in the past, and while "no decisions have been made yet regarding the final design of the rink's improvements", I guess this is meant to give us a bit more information on the plans for the rink renovations. No mention of a real timeline either. From the Daily Sun this morning:by KateWithThe8 - Hockey
Article on New Athletics Website - 19 years ago
I know everyone around here tends to get overly excited about plans that Althetics puts into place , but thought people might be interested in some comments made in this article. Most notibly: "Most notable among these changes will be links to streaming audio and video coverage of games, an interactive Hall of Fame, and an extensive history of Cornell athletics and each team......by KateWithThe8 - Hockey

Re: Quiet crowd - 19 years ago
"which team is four the point teamend?" - I had to laugh outloud at this one because this is exactly what it sounded like. Bravo for the translation. I too will say that as class of '03 sitting in Section O, minus some tiny compaints here and there, the rink was impressive this weekend. I also found myself commenting that I think Sections D/E are turning into the new A/B. Theby KateWithThe8 - Hockey
Re: Quiet crowd - 19 years ago
Well then I'm very sorry that it came across the other side of the rink as College. "Color" is obviously a very good use of the cheer. Sorry for the confusion.by KateWithThe8 - Hockey
Re: Quiet crowd - 19 years ago
We were down in the front row near you guys in Section O Friday night and I too thought the crowd was a bit quiet for a Fish night. But then Saturday night we sat a few rows up and it reminded us how much difference it makes to sit just behind the glass - the crowd seemed much louder Saturday night because we were actually above the glass. Though I do think that the band playing at fewer stopagby KateWithThe8 - Hockey

I was going to mention this on the forum when I saw it in Maryland's newspaper, but feared "beating a dead horse". Since it's been directly mentioned again, thought people might be interested: This article in Sept. outlines a brief history of UMDs battle with the song: Along with the student reaction: And finally a more recent update on a student petition:by KateWithThe8 - Hockey
Re: Harvard-Brown weekend - 19 years ago
Jon and I will be there this weekend, also in Section 0 and I'm sure we'd be happy to participate in any anticts, depending on the mood of the crowd. I always remember at least a few Hahvahd (sucks) fans in Section 0. You know, all six of them.... Can't wait! Let's Go Red!by KateWithThe8 - Hockey
Re: Ticket Line - 19 years ago
Really I think that Athletics needs to coordinate with the weather gods and use rain and chilly temperatures to weed out the "tough" fans. A quick check of the Ithaca forcast and I see that the line is once again blessed with wonderful fall weather (<sigh> missing it as I speak......)by KateWithThe8 - Hockey
Re: Lynah East 2005 - Single Tickets on Sale 9/20 - 19 years ago
Just FYI - just called the Hahvahd ticket office (1-877-464-2782) and after being on hold for just 5 minutes or so, got a very nice girl on the phone who was gracious enough to get me 6 tickets with no questions asked. She even put me in the "Cornell section" - like we have a whole section vs. the whole arena - not sure if she assumed that's where I wanted to be or if that's "allby KateWithThe8 - Hockey
