Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: ECAC Finals in VA - 19 years ago
At this point, your best bet is just to call around and find a place. Sorry, I can't be much of a help. If you don't mind a road trip, you are welcome to watch the game at my apartment in Richmond.by TShen - Hockey
Re: 3 ECAC bids assured - 19 years ago
It make sense to have only 1 OT for consy. We don't want any delay to the main event.by TShen - Hockey
Re: game worn jerseys avail. for sale - 19 years ago
BTW, it seems the Red Wings once wore the same style jersey as Cornell's home uni decades ago. It was one of the optional jerseys in ESPN's NHL 2k4. Technically, Cornell wears the old school Big Red Wing jersey.by TShen - Hockey
Re: Cornell Hockey Jerseys - 19 years ago
According to the Cornell hockey book, that jersey remained until coach McCutcheon brought back the classic style in 87-88. There is a picture of the away jersey from the 84-85 season, which simply reverses the color pattern of the home jersey. Since Mike graduated in '86, I doubt he wore the classic.by TShen - Hockey
Re: Why are there no defense cheers? - 19 years ago
How about replacing "Abbotts" with "Hynes" in the Song #7 cheer? I know it's not related to D, but just a suggestion.by TShen - Hockey
Re: Why are there no defense cheers? - 19 years ago
I recall hearing cheer for Knoepfli and/or Varteressian in section A during their freshman year. It was very similar to the cheer for Svoboda. Does anyone know how it goes? It didn't catch on because few heard it clearly.by TShen - Hockey

Al DeFlorio Wrote: Iggulden-Chris Abbott-Knoepfli is an unusual line combination. Does anyone remember if this line played together earlier in the game, or did the coaches put it together specifically for this late-game situation? I thought Chris was paired with Cam and Sawada before this weekend. Did the coach shuffle the lines again? If so, what were the lines for last night?by TShen - Hockey
Re: CU Athletics regarding XMI - 19 years ago
Well, I hope CU shop around next season. It seems reasonable to expect the quality of the Cornell feed be at least on par with Colgate's free service. IIRC, the videos of the Cornell at Colgate games from past 2 seasons were excellent.by TShen - Hockey
Re: Cornell-Clarkson viewings: misc. locations - 19 years ago
Oooh....I live in Richmond, VA. But, I think I am going to watch it on Comcast at home. I'd like to listen to commentary.by TShen - Hockey
Re: 1/7/05: Cornell 0 Brown 0 (1st) - 19 years ago
Is there a free audio feed for brown? The ON-3 feed is still broadcasting news.by TShen - Hockey
Re: World Junior Hockey Championship - 19 years ago
What the hell is happening in the final period? 6-4 USA half way through the 3rd. It's certainly an entertaining game. BTW, does anyone else think those green blades look cool?by TShen - Hockey
TV Listing for World Jr. Games? - 19 years ago
Does anyone know if any of the WJC hockey games will be broadcasted in the states?by TShen - Hockey
Re: Canisius Photos - 19 years ago
As usual, great photos! I didn't notice that the CCM logo was relocated on the home jersey until today.by TShen - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Harvard Tickets Through CCOB - 19 years ago
Is CSTV actually broadcasting this game? Their website lists a live women's b-ball game around the same time.by TShen - Hockey
Re: Majors for piddly shit - 19 years ago
At least, the officiating was consistent for both majors. The UVM radio guys describes both as similar unintentional "hits from behind." It sounds like any contact from behind will be called the same way.by TShen - Hockey
Re: Video webcast for game AT Dartmouth! - 19 years ago
Adam, I had the same error. You need to manually change the HTTP protocol. Read about it here:by TShen - Hockey

Tag on Brown jersey - 20 years ago
Anyway, I have an unrelated question. The pictures from the home game against Brown showed players wearing a "JOE" tag on their left shoulder. What's the story behind it?by TShen - Hockey
