2 NCAA bids for the MAAC - 22 years ago
So the hockey writer on the MAAC page of USCHO.com wrote an article this week predicting that if Mercyhurst wins out, but loses their championship game, the MAAC would likely get 2 bids. HAHA! And that would mean 2 bids from a conference that is 1-25-3 (.086) against the 'Big 4' conferences! Without being a mathematic wizkid, even I could tell you that if the same situation were to happen to Coby Weingarm - Hockey
#6 and #7 teams this weekend - 22 years ago
Maybe it's just worthy to note the progress (or egress) of the 2 teams higher than us in the polls/PWR: Tonight #7 Maine lost to unranked BC; 4-3 Tonight #6 Col. College tied unranked Wisconsin; 5-5by Weingarm - Hockey
Re: 2/4/02 Polls - 22 years ago
And funny enough, Keith, that very same parity across college hockey this year is Cornell's only hope to move up beyond #8 (whether it be in a poll, the RPI ranking, or PWR). You never know... Maine loses one game, then Colorado College trips over Wisconsin, then Minnesota hiccups against N. Dakota and all of the sudden... (keep your fingers crossed for Big Red wins)... Cornell moves up. Re: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6... We Want More! - 22 years ago
And TWO of those teams we are 5 points ahead of have played 1 more game than us! Let's just enjoy it (and hopefully enlarge the gap.)by Weingarm - Hockey
Re: Pairwise Rankings - 22 years ago
Our "Last 16" record is as follows (indeed, it got better this week): Before the Harv-Brown weekend: 10-5-1 After the Harv-Brown weekend: 11-4-1 If 2 additional wins are earned next weekend: 12-3-1by Weingarm - Hockey
