Re: World Junior Championships - 21 years ago
Dave is front page news over at insidecollegehockey.com Check out the East notebook. It seems they make a bigger deal about DAve maybe not coming back than anyone else, including Dave.... Also of note is that JMP was recalled to Carolina again and Steve Mooron was sent back to Hershey by the Avs.by curoadkill - Hockey

Just a pleasant reminder that when solicited to give to athletics, you can specify to donate directly to the Pep Band. Though athletics won't show us a dime, you can.by curoadkill - Hockey
Re: forgotten cheer - 21 years ago
Furthermore, my sincere gratitude to whoever it was standing in the middle of B who felt it necessary to start winning team in the middle of a play with 3:40 left in a 4 goal game. Encore, Encore.by curoadkill - Hockey
Re: live @ lynah? - 21 years ago
The CD is getting there. I never expected it to take this long. There will be a message here the second I have a finished product in my hand. We've run into a series of problems including a studio closing for three months and now troubles tracking down some copyright holders so we can put all that we want on the CD and finally get it produced. In the end I think you'll all be pleased. It is neaby curoadkill - Hockey
On Cheering - 21 years ago
Three things: -The "so and so returns to full strength they still suck" cheer was still around my freshman year after Arthur stopped announcing the end of power plays. I always thought it was something largely continued by the band. Once the band became athletics public enemy number one and the word suck was a mortal sin, the band couldn't say or lead it (or anything with the word suckby curoadkill - Hockey
Re: [Road trip] North Country? - 21 years ago
Don't be surprised if some sort of make shift band is at these games. Don't be surprised if there's no band either. I plan on going though. It's a long stretch between home games...by curoadkill - Hockey
Re: We're famous (sort of) - 21 years ago
There is absolutely zero doubt in my mind that it was "Diane Paolini from Rochester" who won the 50/50. I don't know if it was the Harvard game or the Brown game though.by curoadkill - Hockey
Re: cornell @ dartmouth 11/16/02 - updates - 4-2 DC 3rd P - 21 years ago
That's it. The monkey is still firmly on the back. Cornell still can't beat Dartmouth or win when they give up four goals. Only shots in the third for DC are the ENGs. Seniors get one more shot at DC.by curoadkill - Hockey

5:53 left. Still 3-2. It's all Red in the third. Outshooting DC about 12-0.by curoadkill - Hockey

Is it certain that Marr is the #2 goalie? Schafer has had some high praise for Chabot and I wouldn't be shocked to see him in net ahead of Marr.by curoadkill - Hockey

Re: Cornell at Ohio State, November 1 - 21 years ago
I'm driving out from Ithaca tomorrow. Any tips on directions or weather? It seems like it could be snowy along the lake and even down to Columbus. I'm hoping to also be back in Ithaca for the football game, so I'm corssing my fingers about the weather. Also to respond to the questions way back about the band. The band will be at the following hockey games: Harvard Brown Colgate Princeton Yale Tby curoadkill - Hockey
Front Page of USCHO - 21 years ago
Harvard and Cornell are prominantly featured on the front page of USCHO now. There's even a picture of Doug Murray. It's funny that the banner above the headline still reads, "Players of the Week."by curoadkill - Hockey
I love the ECAC... - 21 years ago
From hockey.ecac.org: September 30, 2002 Vermont Kicks Off 02-03 Conference Campaign CAPE COD, Mass. - Vermont kicks off the 41st ECAC Hockey campaign this weekend when it hosts NCAA defending champion Boston College at 7 p.m. Saturday, October 6 at Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington, Vermont. Good to see they are on top of things as always. The article that it links to is factually correct, bby curoadkill - Hockey

Re: new pep band cd? - 21 years ago
I was trying to reply to this from another computer a few days ago, but it insisted I log in and I have no idea what my password is and Age never sent me a new one so finally.... The news is that they still aren't done. I have faith that they will be available no later than the beginning of the season, and I hope that we'll be able to sell them to students on the ticket line as well. As soon asby curoadkill - Hockey
Re: OT: Commencement Speaker - 22 years ago
I'm pretty sure it's convocation and not commencement that Danny Glover is speaking at. That's what I see on the CU homepage anyway.by curoadkill - Hockey
Re: Next year's schedule - 22 years ago
Here's what I've got to prepare the pep band's schedule (sorry if the formatting sucks): The NC part is far less certain than the confirmed ECAC slate. October Red and White Home 7:00 p.m. Saturday 26 Exhibition Home 7:00 p.m. November Friday 1 Ohio Stateby curoadkill - Hockey
Re: Next year's schedule - 22 years ago
From what I understand, the schedule for next year avoids home game over break. I think the team is playing 4 road conference games in January.by curoadkill - Hockey
Re: Travelling Faithful Tournament Protocol - 22 years ago
Regaring the band, all I know is that we have 25 people on a credential list who are allowed to enter with instruments, we have to enter through some other entrance, and no one seems to know where they are putting us. So I guess your guess is as good as mine.by curoadkill - Hockey
Re: NCAA Tix - 22 years ago
From what I'm told, Cornell will get less than 200 but more than 100 tickets. There are no comps for NCAAs, so family members and athletics administration will get tickets from that block. Hope that helps.by curoadkill - Hockey
Re: Used jersey - 22 years ago
My undestanding, though I could be misguided, is that the jerseys are available every other fall. So because they were available this past fall, they will again be available in fall of 2003.by curoadkill - Hockey
Re: RPI/Union - 22 years ago
The tickets I have for the band are Section 1 rows H-M. The information I have from RPI is that they will seat us in God's country with basically no view of the game. I've never been there so I don't know if those locations are one in the same. And for symmetry, our seats at Union are in the front of sections 5 & 6.by curoadkill - Hockey
