Re: Opponents and Others 2023-24 - 6 weeks ago
Maine got the win ND had a 2 goal lead and lost Mind Dul comes back from 2 down late to win in OT Ndak loses to Omaha Miami had a 2 goal lead vs WMU and lost could have been 4 good results that help got 2 Denver losing early to CC in a very fast paced game. 17 in PWR IF Denver sweeps this weekend and CC is just barely ahead of us Maine sweeps and Umass is barely ahead of us Miby upprdeck - Hockey

Bu beat Prov tonight.. 1 we wanted Miami plays WMU Denver plays CC Minn D plays St cloud NDak plays Omaha ND plays Mich Minn/Wisc not losing in theirs would be good All 6 teams ahead of us have a shot at losing 2 games this weekend. We need teams to back up to have a chance at a AT large to still be in playby upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Opponents and Others 2023-24 - 6 weeks ago
Prov has BU an Northeastern this weekend. 2 losses that would put them close to Cornell. uMass has 2 with Maine. Mich has 2 with ND 4 teams in the NCHC are playing with results that can help Cornell. so in reality 7 teams that around us are playing where it doesn't help both teams. In a perfect result world we could jump back up to about 13th.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell v Union - 7 weeks ago
Best case if Cornell wins the 2 playoff games and everything thing goes right they can get to 12th. More likely they win 2 and can scrape into 14th if several things go right. if they win 3 and close to Q at least they have path in hand to know by then what can happen.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell v Union - 7 weeks ago
IF cornell only wins Union or Clarkson the PWR doesn't change much. Winning both would jump them to 12thby upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Ohio State @ Cornell lax 3/2 - 7 weeks ago
They will play every game outside that they can. If the game looks like it will have lightening before it starts, they might play inside. If it looks like hurricane weather they might go inside. If it looks like a mighty ice/snowstorm throughout and hard to keep the field clean they might go inside. 45 and drizzle, they won't go inside. For the most part they will want to make the decisioby upprdeck - Other Sports

given how well the golf course project has gone maybe by 2028.by upprdeck - Other Sports
Re: Ohio State @ Cornell lax 3/2 - 7 weeks ago
I don't see anyway they play a game like yesterday inside. There were games all over this weekend played in much worse weather and far worse rain.by upprdeck - Other Sports
Re: Opponents and Others 2023-24 - 7 weeks ago
We got about every good result we could have wanted last night but Cornell winning. But even if we win the game we still would be in 16th place Still a slim path to get past CC/WMU if they collapse but not likleyby upprdeck - Hockey

Re: MLAX: @Denver 2/24 - 8 weeks ago
It would be interesting to see the 3 goals. 0ne that didnt cross the line. I never went and tried to rewatch One that the FO man scored I think the backside judge ruled some kind of interference when the D slightly jostled with our trailing longpole.. Had not effect on the play One that we scored and I think the call was in the crease, I replayed it from the TV angle it didnt look likby upprdeck - Other Sports
Re: MLAX: @Denver 2/24 - 8 weeks ago
and a couple goals called back as well. not sure how replay can ever work at cornell with cameras stationed around the commons it seems.by upprdeck - Other Sports
Re: Cornell @ Clarkson, 2/23 - 8 weeks ago
Win the next 4 home games and then see what is what.. There is a good chance by then that winning the first night in Lake Placid is enough. How ever Quin losing anyplace along the way adds another dynamic as does the B10/HE/or ND not winning the NCHC. we could be up to 12th and still not get in..by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Clarkson, 2/23 - 8 weeks ago
it all matters but if we had won the game in Reg we would still be in 16th though closer to 15. the same for Sat nights game. Win both nights though we would be in 11thby upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Clarkson, 2/23 - 8 weeks ago
coach said they reviewed for goalie interference not a hand pass. I dont think hockey looks at everything in a review like football does.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Clarkson, 2/23 - 8 weeks ago
in the coaches notes. something about a handpass on the clarkson goal they tied it up?by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ St. Lawrence, 2/24 - 8 weeks ago
I wonder how much they look at that rule as a during play or not during play thing. It also says persists, its a penalty. What does that mean? More than 1 time?by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Opponents and Others 2023-24 - 8 weeks ago
Early look at this week, so many games that matter now BC needs to take care of UNH to stop them from creeping up can Minn sweep Michigan If not Mich will jump up a good chunk ahead of us CC with a split I dont think we can pass them but too many unknowns right now Umass Lowell winning one would be be big to close the Umass lead UND winning 2 would be huge as well to bring WMU into ranby upprdeck - Hockey
Re: MLAX: @Denver 2/24 - 8 weeks ago
Fo matter so much in Lax when you cant win them its hard to win.by upprdeck - Other Sports
Re: Cornell @ St. Lawrence, 2/24 - 8 weeks ago
imafrshmn When was the last time we scored 2 or more EA goals in one game? as we look back on the season how much time have we spent trailing and had to pull our goalie in the last 2-3 min of games..by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Men’s Basketball 23-24 - 8 weeks ago
In the long run as long as we beat Col/Penn the Princeton game was going to decide everything anyway. Losing to Brown doesn't do much to us, and perhaps kicks them in the butt.by upprdeck - Other Sports
Re: Cornell @ St. Lawrence, 2/24 - 8 weeks ago
technically the game was over. You going suspend a coach from trying to get the refs attention after a game. they were likely yelling and whistling as well. Though I would think the first thing the refs should do on most any goal is check with the teams to make sure there is nothing to review.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Opponents and Others 2023-24 - 8 weeks ago
interesting we would still be in 16th even had we held on for the win last night.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Opponents and Others 2023-24 - 2 months ago
even in losing last night there is path with the RPIs being so close that we could jump right back up to 13-14th or so tonight with all the teams in that 12-16 group being real close. CC losing tonight is big and hopefully Denver takes them in 2 weeks Mich losing to ND and then getting help from Minn next week umass we beed UNH and then maine in 2 weeks as well Prov we need to slip up someby upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Clarkson, 2/23 - 2 months ago
Did we really expect that this team was going to go 3 months without really losing a game? losing on the Rd in OT was somewhat of a help. Win the next 5 with 4 of them at home and see where we are then.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Opponents and Others 2023-24 - 2 months ago
several teams around us play much harder games they can lose for sure. Need some of that to happen.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Clarkson, 2/23 - 2 months ago
iceing, lose a draw, allow a crazy angle shot and goal then give away in OT behind the net. Lots of things to go wrong to get a loss and why is Clarkon the place so many of them happen.by upprdeck - Hockey
