Hell, I think he should play forward all the time.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Scoreboard - 22 years ago
If you're being technical, Northern Mich and OSU swept them tooby CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: tix - 22 years ago
At about 12:30, the Cornell ticket office only had about 20 sets of tickets left for Placid (out of about 400 received). The ones I got were all from section 11, spread around rows C, E, H, and J. But there should still be plenty available from the LP Box Office. Not sure where they'll be, thoughby CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Poll on Arthur - 22 years ago
For the curious among you (and there are some very curious among you), actual voting is: Legendary PA announcer: 85 PA announcer: 31 Crotchety Old Fart: 18by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Milestones - 22 years ago
Assuming he plays, Wieckowski will be playing in his 125th game for Cornell on Friday (would have been Saturday if he hadn't been benched at Colgate) (Knopp holds the record with 133). Krys also picked up his 50th point on Saturday. David Kozier got up his 50th point against Clarkson. Milestones to watch for: Matt McRae is 1 point shy of 50. Denis Ladouceur is 1 point shy of 80. You submit the question, I'll answer itby CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Scoreboard - 22 years ago
That's correct. Hagwell had no idea about it until I sent the e-mail.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: upcoming games - 22 years ago
Tell that to USCHO, since that's where that stuff comes from (except scoring now)by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Downs article - 22 years ago
Cornell finished 4th, but Clarkson lost to Vermont, so got seeded 3rd in the Tourney.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Scoreboard - 22 years ago
Actually already got mail back from him and the incident will be pursued with the AD's.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Scoreboard - 22 years ago
Well, yeah, if it was a fan, but a school official or whatever trained hamster they have running the scoreboard has no place doing that and I'm pretty certain it violates NCAA rules. A copy has been sent to Steve Hagwell in case he hasn't already been notified of it.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: whose stats am i supposed to believe??? - 22 years ago
OK. Scoring now comes from chsby CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Higgins - 22 years ago
Well, except he won't be a freshman next year. Didn't Higgins go 7 games without a goal or something like that down the stretch?by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: COTY - 22 years ago
Gee, you don't suppose that tool Moy had any bias in picking an RIP player for POTY do ya?by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: whose stats am i supposed to believe??? - 22 years ago
Yeah, and don't trust anything that I don't have any direct involvement with. the stats at the top are just ganked from USCHO. I thought collegehockeystats didn't have anything from HE games. Or is that just between 2 HE schools?by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: ECAC first round - 22 years ago
Thanks for the reminder. Maybe I should bring some extra tapes tonight.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Breakdown - 22 years ago
Also noteworthy that Cornell's NC record since Schafer came on board is 25-22-5, including NCAA Tourney appearances.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: All-Ivy Teams - 22 years ago
LeNeveu: 1.51 GAA (#1) .??? SV% (#?) Underhill: 1.93 GAA (#2) .917 SV% (#4) Dave's save % was outside the top 8 and I'm too lazy to figure it out, but it really got hammered in the Dartmouth game. Possible the voting was skewed by that, but more likely it's just senioritis. Kind of a 4-year nod to Undy.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Saturday Yale game to be televised - 22 years ago
I'll be getting video feed from the TV production in Lynah with the usual audio feed from the radio. Thanks to Laura Stange for making the arrangements.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: NCAA Rules - 22 years ago
Well, yeah, the common interpretation of the rule is skating in backwards with the puck on your stick. Which does happen occasionally. And is always called offsides. I don't care what's easier or cleaner for the linesmen. They don't have a lot to do, and adding one caveat to the rule shouldn't be a big deal. Saying that you have to skate into the O-zone facing forward is just as dumb.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: And the school's rep just keeps growing... - 22 years ago
Hate to burst your bubble, but that sound made its way through the cyber about a year ago first in e-mail attachment sound form, then someone had the bright idea to stick it on a web page. That exact web page was stolen from some other source, who no doubt stole it from some other source who...by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: NCAA Rules - 22 years ago
Are you being facetious or should we lump you with the ECAC linesmen? You can slide into the zone on your ass holding the wrong end of the stick ahead of the puck and as long as you have "control" of it, you should be onside. Guess the linesmen don't read the rulebook though. Oh, SORRY... assistant referrees...by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Saturday Yale game to be televised - 22 years ago
Well, I just found out there won't be a team camera on Saturday, so if there's a LynahCam broadcast it will be the TV feed. I'll let people know what's up when I have an idea.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Saturday Yale game to be televised - 22 years ago
Unless I get told otherwise, I'm planning on doing it. I have permission from the ECAC to use their broadcasts for eLynah clips, so hopefully it won't be a problem.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
NCAA Rules - 22 years ago
I went to check the NCAA +/- rules regarding the other thread and came across some other interesting stuff relating to recent discussion. Rules clarifications: Game disqualifications: 1st: that game + 1 more, 2nd: that game + 2 more, 3rd: that game + 3 more, etc. And you can get more than 1 in a game. Butt-Ending: A player shall not butt-end or attempt to butt-end an opponent. A butt-end is whby CowbellGuy - Hockey
