Swampy Alternatively, and perhaps better, just us % of the maximum and normalize both metrics by converting everything to percentages.by ice - Hockey
Re: Polls 2019-20 - 4 years ago
I revised the graphs for Swampy. I think the graphs show a few things. One, the ECAC teams had relatively low SOS's in 2003. Two, ND and Mankato appear to be especially strong right now. Three, in 2020 the difference between the 6th and 16th teams is a lot smaller now than it was in 2003. With regard to Cornell's late period play this year, I think the team is playing to the level ofby ice - Hockey

On the waved off goal, Rinaldi was in the crease and behind Galajda before Ryan shot the puck. Rinaldi ran into Galajda's skate on his way into the crease.by ice - Hockey

Harvard doing everything possible to lower the ECAC in the Pairwise. BC up 6-2 after two.by ice - Hockey
Re: Opponent News 19-20 - 4 years ago
Beanpot consolation game. BC is up 5-2 on Harvard, second period. BC scored two short-handed goals on a Harvard power play.by ice - Hockey

Scersk '97 ...since the entire puck did not enter the zone before Bauld did, the play was offsides... Ok. I misunderstood the rule book. Thanks.by ice - Hockey

Go here: Click on the settings icon in the lower right hand corner of the video window and lower the speed to 0.25. It looked like a good goal to me.by ice - Hockey

Attached is a graph of KRACH by team as of 2/8/20. Cornell is negatively impacted by its relatively low SOS.by ice - Hockey

The lineup posted on Twitter: Cornell Hockey @CUBigRedHockey Snow day’s over, time to play again! Here’s how the Big Red’s lines will look tonight... Barron-Locke-Stienburg Mullin-Betts-Malott Berard-Andreev-Regush B. Tupker-Z. Tupker-Bauld Malone Kaldis-Dirven Mitchell-Green Leahy-Haiskanen Galajda Seems odd that no backup goalie is listed. Maybe this is a Tweet error.by ice - Hockey

BU beat BC 5-4 in double overtime. The game counts as a 4-4 tie. That will give Harvard a shot at #5 BC.by ice - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Quinnipiac 1/31/2020 - 4 years ago
TimV That knife cuts both ways, no? Is our scouting worse than everybody else's? Like our inability to figure out Harvard's power play? Northeastern most have figured something out. They just held Harvard scoreless for a nearly two minute long 5x3. 2-1 Northeastern in the third.by ice - Hockey

blackwidow TimV That knife cuts both ways, no? Is our scouting worse than everybody else's? Like our inability to figure out Harvard's power play? I dont know about coaching but I think Harvard's talent is significantly above our recruitment pool. Who the heck would want to go to that snobby school? In the last 30 years, Harvard has won the Beanpot twice. Recent Beanpot winners: 2010 - BC 2011 - BC 2013 - BC 2014 - BC 2015 - BU 2016 - BC 2017 - Harvard 2018 - NE 2019 - NE This year: Havard(17) vs. NE(12) BC(4) vs. BU(26) If Havard wins it, they could move up to 12 +/- 1 and help Cornell. Interesting game in Anchorage last night that ended: Mankato 2, Anchorage 2. Three major penalties, three game misconducts, no power play goals. During the last minute of the third period, Mankato scored two extra-attacker goals to eek out a tie.by ice - Hockey

BearLover This is why you play a full season and not judge a team by its first 11 games. It's also why you don't put faith in a website like playoffstatus.com that assigns teams odds based on their records across tiny sample sizes without pricing in uncertainty. I don't know how good this year's team is. I don't think it's right to say this is some Jekyll and Hyde situation where the team isby ice - Hockey

CU2007 That’s bad. I assume Cornell made the Northern Michigan team whole. At least I hope so. Ditto.by ice - Hockey
