redice Damn!! Bad timing for us. We attended the Winnipeg-Buffalo game last evening in the hope that Jeff or Morgan play. No luck. Frankly, that NHL game was a big step down from Cornell Hockey. The excitement & tempo were just not there. I must mention that his start in the lineup has not been confirmed yet.by blackwidow - Hockey

Dafatone BearLover Cornell recruits looking promising. Iâll do a longer write-up when I have time. One thing thatâs clear: next yearâs freshman class will be headlined by 20- and 21-year-olds who put up good numbers in junior hockey. The following yearâs class may instead be headlined by 18- and 19-year-old draft picks without as much junior hockey experience. My vaguely hot take is that draftby blackwidow - Hockey

ugarte Chuck Henderson Ugarte, a couple of questions. I really look forward to your postings on this. Is Arujau better in freestyle than folkstyle? It seems he has gone further in international than college competition. Does he have the higher upside there? And I assume he has a higher upside in general than, say, Glory. I don't remember as big a difference between free and folk back decades aby blackwidow - Other Sports

Weder Al DeFlorio Trotsky BearLover Harvard lapping the ECAC in recruiting has come home to roost. Frankly, had last season not been canceled, the 2020-21 Harvard team may been the most talented team in ECAC history post-split with Hockey East. Players who went pro when last season was canceled included Jack Drury, Jack Badini, Jack Rathbone (yes, triple Jack), and Reilly Walsh. Matty Beniers decby blackwidow - Hockey

billhoward blackwidowI just want us to win when it matters. I bet i can coach better than Schafer (tournaments only). It wasn't Schafer who landed on top of Matt Galajada in OT of the 2019 title game against Clarkson and required Austin McGrath to come on in relief. In the consolation semifinal he beats #8 McKee (Minnesota) W 7-3 and follows it up in the the third place match with a WMD 10-2 over #10 DeAugustino (Northwestern). adamw I feel like every year I have to chime in on a topic like this - just to call out the new random pinhead who questions whether Mike Schafer is a "problem" It's so dumb as to be laughable. Are these people random bots that were sent out like a virus about 20 years ago, to just rise to the surface one per each new offseason? Re: 2022 Takeaways - longest ECAC drought - 2 years ago
BearLover When you consider what he is up against, Schafer is arguably the greatest coach in college hockey. No scholarships, no grad transfers, worse financial aid than the other Ivies, an Ivy League doesnât give a shit about its athletes. Case in point: last year, the Ivies didnât play while 51 other programs did. Despite all this, Schafer has accomplished NCAA appearances in over half of hby blackwidow - Hockey
