I think you jinxed it. Yours is the only post in the last 3 hoursby gwm3 - Hockey
Re: Everything But Anchovies - 22 years ago
the person serving you (at Louie's) didn't care who you were or what was going on in your life Well I guess some things have changed, because the current owner of Louie's is incredibly friendly, and is on a first name basis with many of his regular customers. I guess Louie's is afforded a higher status by those who have lived on North, but I agree that it doesn't have the same campus-wide mystiby gwm3 - Hockey

I bought tickets by phone during the third period of the semi against Harvard last year and was still right in the Cornell section. Not sure why you had any difficulty.by gwm3 - Hockey
ECAC Stats - 22 years ago
According to USCHO, Cornell now leads the ECAC in the four main team statistical categories (offense, defense, power play, and penalty kill).by gwm3 - Hockey
Re: Who's That Guy? - 22 years ago
I believe he was one of the Doug Murray fan club guys from last year (with the Swedish flag)...by gwm3 - Hockey
Re: Home Ice - 22 years ago
Keep in mind that there have been two Paolini family 50/50 wins in the last two years. Either they buy a pile of tickets, or the thing is riggedby gwm3 - Hockey
Re: Ban Fish From Harvard? - 22 years ago
Can someone please enlighten those of us who are too young to remember how anyone managed to get on the ice to tie a chicken to the net.by gwm3 - Hockey
Re: Penalties - 22 years ago
I understand that he's doing his job, and he is doing it well (and drawing a lot few fewer penalty minutes per game than last year, when he had 40 in 10 games). But it also seems pretty clear that the guy loves a fight. I just found the image of Schafer having to restrain him amusing.by gwm3 - Hockey
Re: Penalties - 22 years ago
Rumor has it that Schafer had to physically restrain Hornby to keep him on the bench Ha ha... Hornby's a punk (and becoming quite a crowd favorite for it I might add).by gwm3 - Hockey
Re: "GRADE IN-FLA-TION" - 22 years ago
Has anybody else noticed that the author of that infamous Crimson column now appears to be a columnnist for USCHO? Have seen his name (Volonnino) on a few game summaries.by gwm3 - Hockey

Re: Pairwise Rankings - 22 years ago
That is actually a pretty important jump. If we stayed around 11th, and then lost the ECAC, there was very little chance of an at-large. For us to lose, that means one of the lower ranked ECAC teams would get a bid, plus a lower ranked MAAC team. Even if the other three auto bids went to higher ranked teams, we would have been bumped out. If we can stay around 9, however, there would need toby gwm3 - Hockey
Re: Harvard v. Cornell - 22 years ago
Yes, I definitely saw a Harvard player get hit in the face with a fish while he had his helmet off for the anthem. It is very unfortunate that a few morons had to make us all look very bad. Throwing fish after the first toss is bad enough, but throwing bottles (which actually caused Coach to look up and yell at Section A at the end of the game) is extremely classless. It reflects badly on theby gwm3 - Hockey
Penalties - 22 years ago
Will any of the penalties assessed near the end of the game result in automatic one-game suspensions?by gwm3 - Hockey
Re: road conditions - 22 years ago
On the shortcut, I believe you actually have to make two left turns to get back to 79. One off of 26 (??) and then one when this street hits a stop sign. It gets you around Whitney Point and probably saves a few minutes.by gwm3 - Hockey
