The Hynes Penalty - 21 years ago
I cannot express how disappointed I am with the outcome of yesterdays game for a myriad of reasons one of which was most definitely not the penalty called on Shane Hynes with approximately three minutes to play in the third period. Yes, about five minutes earlier he was hit from behind into the the bench door while going off for a change and the subsequent interference penalty was called. But thaby Ben Doyle 03 - Hockey
Re: To Those Going to Buffalo - 21 years ago
How about a sign that has a map of I-90 on it (including a traced map of New York and Mass) the appropriate end reads: Bright Arena, Boston MA, aka Lynah East - *Check* 1-0-0 the middle in the appropriate place on the map Lynah Rink, Ithaca NY - *Check*15-0-0 and the other end reads HSBC Aerna, Buffalo NY, aka Lynah West - *a box for UHN and a box for a National Championship* just an idea. . .by Ben Doyle 03 - Hockey

David'02 wrote: Also, after watching last years Worcester tape, the UNH fans were louder than us. DO you believe that. It's not so hard to believe when you realize there were 10 UHN fans for every 1 Cornell fan. I would hope they could muster some noise in support of their team. I seem to have a feeling that will not be the case in Buffalo. I can speak to quite a number of students that are gby Ben Doyle 03 - Hockey

Stupid Fact. . . - 21 years ago
While we may have "some" issues with the seeding process, the fact is we are still the number one overall seed. With that distinction comes an interesting statistic. . .our record in our home whites is 17-0-0. Here's to hoping we add a few more wins.by Ben Doyle 03 - Hockey
Best Goalie in the Nation: Ayers v. LeNeveu - 21 years ago
There is only one other goalie in college hockey that can be mentioned in the same sentence as Lenny and that's Mike Ayers of UHN. He is currently second in all categories (Save %, GAA, and Shut outs) and is still not in the same league as Dave. In a head-to-head comparison of games versus common opponents you can see the truth. (For the sake of this comparison one of our two against Yale = oneby Ben Doyle 03 - Hockey
Re: OT: Lax - 21 years ago
Still very, very ugly! Positives: We finally won some face offs! Negatives: B. Ross and our lack of offense. . . They are actually painful to watch and I'm not kidding. I don't know if Coach T thinks his last name has changed to Tierney b/c this team sure ain't no Princeton (but they're definitely trying to play like they are). If the Red are planning to win a game against a top tenby Ben Doyle 03 - Hockey
Re: OT: Lax - 21 years ago
BRA - Our boys held their own in the first half but did not deserve to be on the same field in the second. At the half we were up 3-2 (I think) and being out shot 2:1 (29-14). It also wasn't helping that we couldn't win a face off as Georgetown was up in that department as well (5-2). Things only got worse, much worse and the game ended with G'town taking the shot total 45-21 and face offs 18-5,by Ben Doyle 03 - Hockey

Miller v. LeNeveu - 21 years ago
Don't know if anyone has posted this yet (I've been too busy to keep up with the traffic ) but Lenny is now averaging a shut out every 3.5 games while 2001 Hobey Baker winner Rayn Miller averaged a shut out every 4.0 games. Just thought this was kinda neat and should be mentioned. BTW, here are their numbers: W-L-T SV % GAA SO Ryan Millerby Ben Doyle 03 - Hockey
