Barron sounds like he can taste the NHL opportunity in front of him. Said he's spent a lot of time on faceoffs and PK to prepare for that kind of role."I've worked a long time to try to be a jack of all trades and be able to fit in wherever I’m needed."#NYR— Vince Z. Come hear me talk about Cornell hockey history along with legends like Ken Dryden '69, Joe Nieuwendyk '88, @KyleBetts77 '21, @Mullin10 '21, and @finfre23 '21. It's not quite the usual game at Madison Square Garden, but we'll do our best to stay out of the penalty box. — Corey Ryan Earle (@CREarle) October 29, 2020by jts15 - Hockey

Re: Visiting Lynah guide - 4 years ago
I went out last year. They were selling tickets on Tuesdays before that weekend's games. I don't know the reasoning but I don't believe there was a pick 5 last year. My kids really liked Waffle Frolic (Commons) and Luna Inspired Street Food (Just off the Commons). Both are very casual, laid back places.by jts15 - Hockey

Van Massenhoven felt that same bond among his NHL family, too, the league often seeming to be just as close-knit a community. The veteran official saw it during that same injury stint in Florida. “I’m in the hospital the next day in intensive care — I just had an 11-hour surgery. I open up my eyes and there’s Joe Nieuwendyk, who played for the Florida Panthers. He had come to the hospitaby jts15 - Hockey

Not much to see here but Barron gets a quick positive mention in the future of the Rangers. "There’s a boatload of intrigue up front in New York and while the most exciting players are on the wing, the most competitive position will be at center. I have Chytil as the future No. 1, but frankly Barron could be the guy, based on his early work at Cornell."by jts15 - Hockey

A mention of Leaman in the mix for Ottawa after a bit about Krueger and Buffalo. 1. On Sunday, Southampton hosts Huddersfield Town to close its Premier League schedule. By Wednesday, its former chairman, Ralph Krueger, is officially a free agent. According to multiple sources, Krueger is rising on Buffalo’s list of coaching candidates. He’s got a real shot at the job. John Shannon reportedby jts15 - Hockey

dag14 I thought it was worth it at $25 but it is definitely worth it at $10! And I do have an interest -- a couple of my photos from the 1980's made the cut. Nice! I've only been able to flip through it so far but it looks great. Looking forward to digging into it.by jts15 - Hockey
Forever Faithful book - 5 years ago
For anyone who may be interested, there is a Cornell hockey book titled "Forever Faithful: Celebrating the Greatest Moments of Cornell Hockey" on Amazon for about $10. I've had it in my cart at $25 for a while and pulled the trigger when the price dropped. Just a head's up...I am not affiliated with the book in any way.by jts15 - Hockey

Not alumni news but didn't want to start a new thread for this (feel free to move to more appropriate location). Cole Bardreau is at the Detroit Red Wings summer development camp. It's a long read about the camp's first day in general and very little about Cole but here is the first impression: 85 Cole Bardreau: Cole's not big at 5'10" and 187 pounds, and Cole's not had a great three seby jts15 - Hockey
