Jim Hyla More than just CU-BU, but here's USCHO's take on the regional. And USCHO Live! Discussion. North East region discussion starts at 59:10. Although Jaffe picks BU and Northeastern, he is very torn.by jeff '84 - Hockey

“Most committee members probably have no clue about Cornell's influence in NYC. If they even know what state we're in, they probably only think of our Ag pedigree.” But Mike Schafer is on the Committee. Assume he’d make the point.by jeff '84 - Hockey

adamw rediceChris was the worst of the bunch!! Again, as someone who takes a radio to the game AND listens to the broadcasts on the radio, he didn't have a clue as to what was happening on the ice, as evidenced by his use of the words: "mystery whistle"... He used those words often... It always amazed me that he left Ithaca and had such success... He must have worked VERY had at hby jeff '84 - Hockey

Trotsky redice Trotsky Grady is the second best hockey play by play I've ever heard, after Dean Vrooman in Portland. He was with Cornell for 13 seasons (I had no idea it was that long). We've been blessed to have a strong of terrific announcers in Grady, Adam, and Jason, but Grady is in a class by himself. It's a shame you didn't get to enjoy Roy Ives.... He was the best... Take a radio tby jeff '84 - Hockey
Re: Polls 2017-18 - 6 years ago
Beeeej jeff '84 Still #2 in both polls. Not that it matters, but any thoughts as to why Notre Dame (#2 in PWR via their better RPI vs Cornell) still haven’t convinced the voters (#5 in USCHO; #4 in USA Today, who by now usually buy into the computer numbers. They've lost four of their last five. That's not a small thing. That’s fair.by jeff '84 - Hockey

North Dakota 9. Providence 10. Duluth 11. Northeastern 12. Minnesota 13. UNO 14. Bowling Green 15. Western Michigan 16. Penn State ... and drop to #4 in USA Today (Clarkson dropby jeff '84 - Hockey

Johnny 5 And, they’re pouring shots on net. That’s a welcome sight! And nationally, top 5 in both. 4th (behind Penn State, St. Cloud, Minnesota State) in goals per game at 3.857; and 2nd in goals against per game at 1.786 (behind Clarkson).by jeff '84 - Hockey

billhoward NCAA voters let us off easy: 6-1 win over SLU, 4-0 loss to Clarkson only drops Cornell from 6th to 7th. Maybe because we're the only one-loss team left. Clarkson climbs 8th to 5th; fair enough. Same result in USA Today poll (7th, with Clarkson moving up to #5).by jeff '84 - Hockey

FWIW: Alex Rauter was mentioned as a "hockey-playing workout buddy" of Johnny Hockey's in a Sports Illustrated article about Gaudreau's off-season workout regimen (September 25, 2017 print edition). Sorry for the blurry pic.by jeff '84 - Hockey

Towson's goalie has a good knowledge of history, even though there is no record of the game to which he refers. “You want to know? Honestly when I thought we had it, was when there was around :03 left and we had the ball,” Hoy said. “I started to get flashbacks of the Syracuse-Cornell championship , when Syracuse came back to win.
