Re: Score vs. Hahvahd - 22 years ago
PALAHICKEY, didn't miss that one, YEAH BABY! 3-2, LGR!!by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Score vs. Hahvahd - 22 years ago
G-M made a good save against Palahicky, but it wasn't as good as the announcers make it seem. He had a wide open net, and didn't get the shot far enough over.by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Score vs. Hahvahd - 22 years ago
I've gotta give Harvard credit, they're playing well, and we've got to do a better job on face-offs.by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Score vs. Hahvahd - 22 years ago
Yeah, I'm watching NESN, and you're right about the Globe, but I still think they're biased.by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Score vs. Hahvahd - 22 years ago
Harvard thought they had us right where they wanted us, and then Wieckowski makes em pay) But these TV announcers are pissing me off, they are so pulling for Harvard, it makes me sickby twh2 - Hockey
Who cares? Just win and we're in. - 22 years ago
I know most of the people in here love to go back and forth with the PWR rankings and figuring out where we'll stand if we beat this team and another team looses to another and so on and so forth, but Cornell is doing just what they should, going out and kicking ass. I honestly believe if we don't win tomorrow we don't deserve a bye, and if we do then we do, I don't need the PWR to tell me that.by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-RPI, March 15 2002 - 22 years ago
YEAH BABY YEAH! Great shutout for Undy, great overall team effort, way to go Cook, and I have to say it, RPI looked tired.by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-RPI, March 15 2002 - 22 years ago
The TV guys are getting tired, they're not calling the play by play very well. I guess I can't blame them, the same two are doing back to back games.by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-RPI, March 15 2002 - 22 years ago
I should take that ref comment back, they did blow some pretty obviouse calls, but they haven't called a single one on us all night and we just went on our 3rd, and the Power Play is looking pretty good!by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-RPI, March 15 2002 - 22 years ago
Goalie Post Sieve, Goalie Post Sieve! WOW, Murray's shot from the blue line was incredible, I'm watching on NESN and Underhill made a few incredible saves too. Although I have to say, it looks like the refs are trying to keep RPI in this game.by twh2 - Hockey
Re: hobey=murray - 22 years ago
I was going to ask the same RS question, but then I realized... Doug Murray, Cornell, D, Jr., Bromma, Sweden As ECAC champions, Cornell was the top defensive team in the nation; third in the nation in penalty killing and fifth in power play due to Murray's contributions. His 30 points led all ECAC defenseman in scoring. Murray was named Ivy League Player of the Year for his efforts. They list hby twh2 - Hockey
Re: hobey=murray - 22 years ago
Jim Fahey, Northeastern, D, Sr., Milton, Mass. Not only was he the only defenseman in the nation to lead his team in scoring... Does the USCHO staff not know how to read a stat sheet? MURRAY! Great season, the honor is well deserved.by twh2 - Hockey
Re: The Big Sheet - 22 years ago
...but every opposing fan who evaluated Cornell says three things: (1) they're good, (2) they're big, and (3) they're slow. And (4) They beat our team. Bring on the big ice sheet, more terrritory with which to beat them into submission and on which to crush them! LET'S GO RED! Please God let Friday get here faster!!!by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Schafer Strategy? - 22 years ago
Especially since I even spell it wrong in my signature I am shamed I will post with the incorrect spelling one last time to shame myself so much I never again forget the 'C'.by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Schafer Strategy? - 22 years ago
Woops As I'm sure many of you have noticed, I'm a dumbass. Please J "B" A, kick my ass for it all you want!by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Shafer Strategy? - 22 years ago
Perhaps I was a little heavy on the Clarkson bashing (as much as I hate to agree with Rich, he does have some valid points), but this is a Cornell Hockey Fan Forum, why wouldn't I be? Gave proof through the night SUCKS More of the point I was trying to make but obviously didn't is that maybe Shafer is giving the refs more to think about than just calling chippy penalties on Cornell simply becby twh2 - Hockey
Schafer Strategy? - 22 years ago
Here's a quote from Shafer from the USCHO recap of the Yale/Cornell series: Yale gives us the kind of preparation we need going to Lake Placid," (Shafer) said. "They battled us tooth and nail. I have a lot of respect for them. They are a disciplined, hard-working team. I don't understand why more teams can't play as disciplined as they do. So many teams get into all that extra-curriby twh2 - Hockey
Re: Cornell presence at Thursday's game - 22 years ago
Screw RPI, THE SUCK! Screw Dartmouth, THEY SWALLOW! As far as I'm concerned, we've got a bone to pick with either one of these two pretenders, I feel a need for vengence on both of them, I cannot actively route for either one. I know anything can happen in a single elimination tournament, but that aside if we cannot beat either of those two teams in our own playoff tournament when we're seededby twh2 - Hockey
Re: ECAC picks Grady - 22 years ago
GRADY RULES! We love you dude. And any sloshed announcer bad mouthing Harvard in thier own back yard gets the thumbs-up from me, I loved those guys!!!!by twh2 - Hockey
Re: NESN broadcast - 22 years ago
Yeah, NESN was perfect. Unfortunatly my VCR was not and I did not get to record itby twh2 - Hockey
Re: Scoreboard - 22 years ago
I hope we get a chance to destroy these guys in Placid, god I hate Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.by twh2 - Hockey
Cheers To Danis - 22 years ago
He almost pulled it off, 66 saves, Wow. Don't worry Yann, Clarkson will most likely wipe the ice with Harvard, great game.by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Harvard-Brown 'cast? - 22 years ago
F*&$ F*&$ F*&$ Oh well, Danis was acting like A god, but he's not The God.by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Harvard-Brown 'cast? - 22 years ago
I just switched from listening to the Harvard announcers on my local radio to Brown's over the web, you gotta love those guys!by twh2 - Hockey
Re: Harvard-Brown 'cast? - 22 years ago
This is a pretty incredible game. Brown ties it on a penalty shot, 2 OTs and Danis standing on his head. I believe he just got the record for saves in a game at Harvard (60 something saves).by twh2 - Hockey
