Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: ECAC back to Lake Placid 2014 - 11 years ago
I for one really enjoyed the small-town nature of Lake Placid during the ECACs. It meant that you couldn't help but run into everyone! It had a great community feel. Plus, you can't beat the history of the rink. For those who are worried about hotel prices - try Saranac Lake, and if you're willing to drive a little, Tupper Lake. The prices there are much more reasonable. I lived up thereby sen '08 - Hockey

Re: Cornell 2 RPI 0 (2nd period) - 15 years ago
Gallagher shot the puck after the whistle was blown and and so Lange had relaxed. Since Lange had relaxed he could have been injured by a hard shot, hence the unsportsmanlike.by sen '08 - Hockey

10 minute and game misconduct to Gallagher for unsportsmanlike.by sen '08 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 1 RPI 0 (2nd period) - 15 years ago
The TW3 commentators seem to think that Cornell embellishes every hit and RPI is a team of angels.by sen '08 - Hockey

It seems to be fixed at the start of the second.by sen '08 - Hockey

It's a little hard to watch hockey when you can't see the puck, sticks, lines on the ice and can just tell where the players' legs are.by sen '08 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 1 RPI 0 (1st period) - 15 years ago
It would be nice if TW3 would turn down the brightness so you could see anything at all....by sen '08 - Hockey

Re: Very RUDE and Ignorant Fans! - 15 years ago
perdon'tIf the standing-prohibited option is picked, then I will request that I be allowed to turn in my season tickets and get a refund, since I am not getting the hockey experience I expected when I purchased my student season tickets. If the standing-allowed option is picked, I think the public seat holders should also request a full refund because they are being forced to stand or not see thby sen '08 - Hockey
Re: Signs and Cheers for USA Under-18 Dev. Team - be nice? - 15 years ago
Josh '99billhowardAnd are we sure those cheers won't rebound? Cornell: We've had sex. Under-18s: We've had more. And they're all under 18. or Cornell: We've had sex. Under-18s: We've had Bristol.I have to figure the U18s will be too busy playing hockey to come up with those on the fly. And any fans they do bring will be parents and relatives, who will be nervous as all hell coming intby sen '08 - Hockey
Re: Guest Editorial in Today's Sun - 16 years ago
Tom Lento Perhaps club hockey has a different history - after all, they require a facility - but I suspect that they scrounge(d) for ice time just like other club sports scrounge(d) for practice areas. The women's club hockey team has had good luck getting funding from the SAFC in the past couple years. Since we're able to tell them fairly accurately what our budget for ice times and travelingby sen '08 - Hockey

Re: Colgate-Quinnipiac Game on CH26 at 3:30 - 17 years ago
andyw2100I just turned on the game. Qunnipiac is wearing the home whites, and Colgate their away uniforms. I'm guessing that this has something to do with the early start time, and Quinnipiac not having had time to get the road uniforms they wore last night washed in time, but can someone confirm this? (Maybe the announcers said something at the start of the game?) Thanks. Aby sen '08 - Hockey
