Re: McKee signs with Anaheim - 18 years ago
Seems like Dallas was really interested (no surprise I guess):by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Possible Teams That May Sign McKee - 18 years ago
Some possible teams that may sign McKee. What do you think? 1. New York Islanders 2. Tampa Bay 4. Colorado 4. Washington 5. Anaheim 6. Nashvilleby 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Cornell-Wisconsin postgame thread (post-season thread?) NCAA quarterfinals 2006 - 18 years ago
RichHWhat Fred said. Post of the year, seriously this time. The only new things I can add that haven't already been said: - I never, ever would've guessed that this team would've given me that feeling I got again from the 3rd period on. You know, that heart-in-the-throat feeling. That feeling we had in Providence in 2003 and in Minnesota in 2005. Never thought I'd have that. Not this tby 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Cornell-Wisconsin postgame thread (post-season thread?) NCAA quarterfinals 2006 - 18 years ago
The best hockey game I have ever seen. The best goaltending performance I have ever seen. The best DUEL I have ever seen. Every single player, on both teams, played with tremendous heart. What more can be said about Wisconsin's Robbie Earl. Just Unbelievable!!! Although there is a deep pit in my stomach due to our loss, I am so proud of our players. They left it all on the ice and they sby 2tkCornell - Hockey

Re: NCAA First Round 3/24 - 18 years ago
Beeej is right .... natural hattrick is 3 goals in a row without anybody scoring in between. Mario Lemieux had a knack for scoring natural hatricks.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Michael Kennedy - 18 years ago
Was anyone particularly impressed with Michael Kennedy after he was thrown into a pivotal role against Harvard. I know he made a few mistakes early on, but I believe he will be a great player at Cornell the next 3 years. Also, does anybody think he skates and plays similar to Mike Iggulden. After seeing his goal against Harvard again, I couldn't believe how similar their moves are (except Igby 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. Clarkson, game 1 postgame - 18 years ago
The first line (Carefoot, Bitz, Moulson) and the first defensive pairing (OB, Pokulok) were absolutely brutal. Pokulok seemed like he was playing in peewee hockey. He couldn't stop, couldn't skate backwards, couldn't pass, couldn't hit, couldn't do anything. I believe that all 5 of those guys were -3 for the night. I was nervous everytime Clarkson was in the offensive zone when those guys werby 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Colgate Postgame 2/4 - 18 years ago
This may have been addressed already in the forum, but I'm too lazy too search for it: Why didn't Davenport dress on D? Why did Kindret play on D? Just a little puzzling to me.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: "The Twin Towers" - 18 years ago
"A year ago, the National Hockey League seemed a galaxy away for O'Byrne. Now, all of a sudden, it is very realistic. The hope for Cornell fans is that he stays around for his final year before undoubtedly signing with the Montreal Canadiens." I would be surprised if O'Byrne is back with Cornell next season. The Montreal Canadiens blue-line prospect depth is extremely weak, especialby 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: US Olympians - 18 years ago
Correction: Most of the players on Clarkson's roster won't get the CHANCE to play in the NHL. I would say that at least half the players will get the CHANCE to play in the AHL or NHL on Cornell's roster. To name a few: Moulson, Bitz, O'Byrne, Pokulok, McKee, Carefoot, Sawada, maybe 'Cutch.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: US Olympians - 18 years ago
Hey Rich, If you knew enough about hitting, you would see that it was a clean hit. Too bad your Clarkson buddy couldn't hold onto his stick and had to resort to stealing O'Byrne's. O'Byrne is a first-rate defender who will play in the NHL one day. That can't be said about half of the players Clarkson has on their roster.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: WJC on TV - 18 years ago
Sasha wears 36, but you won't see him, because he didn't play in theg game.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Looks like an uneventful first game - 18 years ago
Not true, Pokulok dressed, didn't play a shift.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Canadian World Junior Hockey Camp Opens - 18 years ago
Stephenson cut this morning, although, he played better than Pokulok last night. Must be a huge sigh of relief for Pokulok.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Canadian World Junior Hockey Camp Opens - 18 years ago
Second Exhibition game for Canada (8-1 win over Russia). Pokulok was outplayed by his defense partner Stephenson. I do not think with his performance on the ice tonight he will make the team. Pokulok and Stephenson played 4 shifts before the last six minutes of the game, and then started to play ever other shift. First gaffe by Pokulok - he was bringing the puck across the red line, got hby 2tkCornell - Hockey

Penguins management will not part with Sid. Sutter would love to have him on the team.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Canadian World Junior Hockey Camp Opens - 18 years ago
Pokulok is serving the 5 min major for Pouliot's hit to the head. Interesting he chose Pokulok to sit instead of a forward, since you would think he wants to see how Pokulok plays. Go figure.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Canadian World Junior Hockey Camp Opens - 18 years ago
Ya, but that was different though, because it was a really long camp (6 months). It wasn't 6 days before the tournament starts. Also, not sure if that actually happened or just in the movie - can someone confirm that?by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Canadian World Junior Hockey Camp Opens - 18 years ago
So Logan Stephenson came into the pre-competition camp after the final cuts were made to replace a d-man that got the flu. His purpose was supposedly only mainly to be a filler in practice. However, I am watching the Czech Republic vs. Canada exhibition and there is a big controversy because Stephenson is still on the team and is playing in the game. Brent Sutter said that the team is not setby 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Everblades video webcasts... - 18 years ago
Is the tournament televised on a Canadian station? Last year it was on the NHL Network, but I can't seem to find it this year. Usually this tournament is televised in Canada. Otherwise, what station is it on in the States?by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Canadian World Junior Hockey Camp Opens - 18 years ago
Interesting News from Pre-Competition Camp: -Bolland and Boyd (Forwards) went down with minor injuries and Bourdon (Defenseman) has the flu. -Sutter called-up defenseman Logan Stephenson, who was one of the last players to be cut. -Also, Sutter stated that if Stephenson plays well and someone's play drops off he has no hesitation to cut them.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros -- Dec 2005 - 18 years ago
He still won't be starting if Getzlaf and Perry are there. There is a logjam at the "power forward" position.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros -- Dec 2005 - 18 years ago
Hynes has played 12 games with Portland Pirates (AHL) and has 1G-3A-4PTS He has got scratched for quite a few games recently mainly because Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry are back with Portland after stints in Anahiem. I think it was a bad career choice for Hynes to sign with Anahiem, he should have foreseen that he wasn't going to get playing time - this is definitely going to stagnate his devby 2tkCornell - Hockey
Re: Canadian World Junior Hockey Camp Opens - 18 years ago
Except for the fact that Ellis was cut, so Dubnyk is the other goalie. Questionable move there. I thought Price should have been the backup to Pogge.by 2tkCornell - Hockey
