Re: Cornell 2 BU 0 (2nd period) - 14 years ago
Picking up a little bit of the atmostphere. I'm just hearing a little bit of the cheering vaguely in the background. Can't see the crowd much. I'm not hearing any cornell chants.by Tom14850 - Hockey

Re: Cornell 2-0 Dartmouth; 2nd intermission - 14 years ago
The dominance of this team really reminds me of 02-03. If they can get that last finishing touch this will be a fun season to watch.by Tom14850 - Hockey

I can't believe that wasn't a penalty.by Tom14850 - Hockey
Re: Alumni In The Pros - October 2009 - 14 years ago
I've been totally unimpressed with the last couple games I've seen Moulson play. If he didn't have the good fortune of being the garbage guy in front of the net while Okposo and Tavares fed scoring opportunities his way, both 5X5 and PP, I think he would be pointless and maybe a 4th line 'fill in' player at best. He frequently loses the puck on the boards, is frequently a step behind the play, isby Tom14850 - Hockey
Re: ECAC Final: Cornell 0 Yale 4 (3rd) - 15 years ago
re: scrivens that's certainly true. A couple of these goals have not been even remotely his fault but I haven't gotten the feeling that he is making any saves that he really doesn't 'deserve' to. Goalies that really boost a team sometimes make a save they have no business making. Scrivens has let a couple dribbles through tonight and hasn't added anything special.by Tom14850 - Hockey

scrivens is having a poor gameby Tom14850 - Hockey

Re: Prayers and thoughts for Ben Russell (Jamie's son) - 16 years ago
Sounds like his son is stable. I certainly will hope that remains to be the case! I still think Cornell hockey lost something that still hasn't quite been replaced when Jamie Russel went to Michigan Tech.by Tom14850 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-RIT postgame - 16 years ago
Cornell was definitely subject to some first game slip-ups. At least I hope they're first game slip-ups. There were many many times when a Cornell player simply whiffed on a shot or pass when they had control of the puck. I haven't seen them do that so many times in a long time. The freshman clearly are playing a big role on this team, for better or worse. Nash got a lot of ice time, includingby Tom14850 - Hockey

This just makes me sad. That poor child has extremely abusive parents. Not particularly funny.by Tom14850 - Hockey

LeNeveu did not play at all during March for San Antonio Rampage. Did I miss something? Is he hurt? Traded?by Tom14850 - Hockey
Re: WHY CORNELL WILL NO LONGER DOMINATE THE ECAC - 17 years ago
I was thinking today about the effect of Jamie Russell leaving Cornell a few years back to take over behind the bench at Michigan Tech. He's now in his fourth season there and has been making some very positive strides in what is perennial the cellar dweller of the WCHA. Is it possible that our recruiting has slowly been wilting over the past few years? Or am I thinking this way simply because ofby Tom14850 - Hockey
Re: Other Games - Friday 12/8/06 - 17 years ago
The Colgate/St. Cloud State game is free audio at: Colgate is down 1-0 with about 4 minutes left. Colgate is getting reamed, though, according to eht announcers. It's something like a 14-2 shot advantage and St. Cloud State has hit about 3 or 4 posts... Okay. Huskies just scored another... 2-0 over Toothpaste. Jeez Colgate just stinks this year. Such poor representatives of the ECACHL.by Tom14850 - Hockey

What's up with Pokulok? It looks like he has only one game of action in Hershey so far. Is he injured, or is this Hugh Jessiman syndrome?by Tom14850 - Hockey
Re: [Slightly OT] Chance for Cornell to get More Press - 18 years ago
We have more living alumni than almost any school other than Michigan. Come on people -- we can beat these other schools if we put some effort in and spread the word. We have more living alumni that any almost any other school???? that sounds crazy to me. Is this true? Surely the big state schools and big ten schools, etc. must have far more living alumni than us... or they lag behind us oby Tom14850 - Hockey
Re: POST GAME CORNELL 3-2 COLORADO COLLEGE - 18 years ago
I think Cornell did themselves and the ECAC very proud (Sucks Sucks) with the come from behind win. They played Cornell hockey the last two periods perfectly. The one thing that impressed me was some of the speed shown by the Cornell players. I myself knew that Cornell had some good speed, but I was interested to see the comparison with CC, a team that is nationally recognized as having very gby Tom14850 - Hockey
Re: KRACH odds - 18 years ago
That 17.4% seems accurate to me. I watched the Minnesota/St. Cloud game on TV and was amazed at the pure offensive talent of some of those Minnesota guys. When Potulny has an opening to the net, it's a safe bet it'll be a goal. Same as with a couple other guys on the Minnesota team (Irmen comes to mind). And yet Wisconsin shut them down. If Wisconsin shuts out Minnesota, would Cornell be able toby Tom14850 - Hockey
Re: Priceless - 18 years ago
I can't believe so many Cornell fans actually even responded to this guy!! I take that to mean that he must have gotten under your skin a little bit. Just ignore it.by Tom14850 - Hockey
