scoop85 abmarks ithacat Henry has a line of 53-48-54-102 Don't know how to read that. Is that 53games, 48g, 54asst, 102 points? I’m pretty sure that’s it Yes, sorry…by ithacat - Hockey
Re: Recruits 2024 and Beyond - 20 days ago
Yesterday, Chris Heisenberg listed Henry Major as a SLU commit. Today he's listed as a Cornell commit (hopefully that's correct). Henry's developing more rapidly than brother Charlie (at comparable ages) and looks like a fantastic prospect, as does Charlie. In his Fr. and So. years at Skaneateles HS, Henry put up 132 points in 47 games. During his U16 year with BK Selects, Henry has a line of 53-by ithacat - Hockey

billhoward We should all use TD Bank. It might stand for thread drift. I used to but tired of their website being down so much.by ithacat - Hockey
Re: Ertel to OHL - 1 year ago
BearLover Scersk '97 BearLover I was not following the team during the year Romano was here, but Ertel was more a power forward than a skill guy. Though he put up unimpressive freshman numbers, Ertel was only 18, and the team as a whole struggled offensively. I think it’s likely he would have developed into a very good player. This is a bad loss given we could have gotten up to three more years fby ithacat - Hockey
Re: Women's hockey 2022 - 1 year ago
Apparently USA goalie Annelies Bergmann is also heading to Cornell. There's a few articles that note this but some of the hockey sites don't. Not sure if this is old news and she's changed her mind? *Gold medal game graphic shows her heading to UNH.by ithacat - Hockey
Re: Cornell 2021-22 season prediction - 2 years ago
Trotsky upprdeckIt could be 8 teams all compete and its a pretty close league. That's my (just as valid as anyone else's) guess. I voted 4-6 in the poll. It wouldn't surprise me if we finished 7 or 8. If we finish in the top 3 Schafer gets to be a god alongside Ned. I didn't vote as I can't even begin to guess until seeing the roster. The goalie position scares the hell out of me right nowby ithacat - Hockey
Re: Cornell lacrosse 2022 - 2 years ago
scoop85 mike1960 Trotsky So, is it a complete unknown, or will we be bad for a while recovering from the down time? Probably 2022 a down year but I think we have great coaches and we don't be down forever. Even without Teat still a lot of talent on the roster. Ivies will be strong as usual. Would have loved to have picked up Kieb from J-D. Looks like Yale got a good one.by ithacat - Other Sports
Re: Wrestling 21-22 - 2 years ago
ugarte Ken711 Donnie Vinson will be joining the wrestling staff as Associate Head Coach. Vinson comes from the NC State University program. He formerly was an assistant at Cornell from 2014-17. Vinson was also an All-American at Binghamton, finishing in third as a senior. And, as Al noted, his signature college win was a special one. He's from Whitney Point so if he was the same weight class asby ithacat - Other Sports

Redpucks1! Future Red recruits Luke Devlin, Ben Robertson and Tyler Catalano all advanced to the final phase of the USA Hockey U17 tryouts for the Hlinka - Gretzky Cup. 40 players remain in the running to be selected for the team that will represent the US in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in August. Re: Corona Virus And Playoff Games - 4 years ago
Jeff Hopkins '82 ithacat Some teams get fans, some don't. The life has been sucked out of the season. I'm on board with just cancelling the season at this point and declaring the team currently #1 the National Champ. #1 in the polls or #1 in the pairwise? Polls! Isn’t that how it was done in the old days?by ithacat - Hockey

Re: 2020-02-21: Cornell 4 Yale 0 - 4 years ago
Trotsky ithacat Jeff Hopkins '82 billhoward About time for Cornell to go into juggernaut mode. Did I hear the announcers say "first shutout of the year" for Cornell? I knew we'd blown some shutouts late in the third but it is our third. I think they meant of 2020, not the season. Anyone know when we last went a season without a shutout at home?2011. Thanks...left it pretty latby ithacat - Hockey

Re: Incoming Recruits - 4 years ago
scoop85 New recruit with the cool name of Sullivan Mack, a smallish (5’11” 180 lb) but speedy forward who’s scoring at an almost 2 ppg clip at Kimball Union Academy. I can’t seem to post Neutral Zone’s tweet about the commitment, but NZ says Mack has moved from 3.25 stars to a “high” 3.75 star rating, and that he’s a “High compete player w/a high ceiling.” Mack is already 19, so I would imagiby ithacat - Hockey

Re: 2018-11-16: Cornell 2 Quinnipiac 4 - 5 years ago
upprdeck interesting part of the penalty is that he called it on Quin didnt he? have to watch again. we had the puck into their zone, they placed the puck in their zone , maybe i just wasnt paying attention. really tough to see them generate so many quality chances those last 10 min and not get a goal. puck bounced over 5-6 guys sticks in a row at one point. and then to have 2 goals go in frby ithacat - Hockey

Re: Cornell lacrosse 2017 @ Penn State - 7 years ago
The bad news is this team probably wins fewer games than last season and Teat transfers out. The good news is I totally suck at predictions.by ithacat - Other Sports

Trotsky ithacat billhoward ursusminor Jack O'Leary 2019 From the name, we stole one from BC, BU and the Beanpot. In two years he'll be heading to Notre Dame.Fuck you because that is so true. My only joy in this is 27-1-1-2-30.by ithacat - Hockey

Re: Brown @ Cornell 02/12/17 - 7 years ago
Trotsky upprdeck i am starting to think the injuries to the D are the real reason we are struggling to maintain late in these games. im not even sure how close we are to what we hoped to the Dmen this year.Brendan's injury is supposed to be minor; I hope he's back next week because having Rauter back there tonight is suboptimal. Sling, couldn't tell whether he was wearing a cast.by ithacat - Hockey
Re: Cornell 5 vs. Union 3 2/3/17 - 7 years ago
I've only seen the goal highlights and they were pretty slick. Tough to pick a favorite, though I think Angello's second would get the nod. Good stick in the defensive end, the foot work to break out, enough speed to stay ahead of the Union players, and the finish while being dragged down.by ithacat - Hockey

ursusminor Tri-City Storm '97 C Alex Limoges de-commited from Cornell, receiving Hockey East interest. 13-15-28 line in 33 USHL GP this year.— Jeff Cox (@JeffCoxSports) January 29, 2017 Big loss. Limoges was the cornerstone of the class. Never really understood his commitment as I don't see the point in skilled forwards coming to Cornell as long as Mike is in charge...still, it was nby ithacat - Hockey

It's early but Cornell is just getting the snot smacked out of it. It's getting late and getting worse. Rob clearly needs to step up his recruiting.by ithacat - Other Sports
Re: Women's Team 2016-17 - 7 years ago
mattj711 She posted on Instagram after last season something along the lines of it being a very difficult decision to quit hockey to focus on getting healthy. It would be great if she were able to come back next year, but it sounded like a permanent health related retirement. That's for the update.by ithacat - Hockey
