Re: 2022 Incoming Recruits - 3 days ago
Watching the USA vs Austria game right now. Koeppel is getting some ice time for the third period. The announcers are giving a lot of love to Cornell and the atmosphere at Lynah. One of them said (paraphrasing) "if you're a fan of college hockey, put attending the Harvard game at Lynah on your bucket list." And yes, they're pronouncing it KEH-puhl. Edit: Koeppel gets 20 minby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

What was the total number of fatalities? You can round to the nearest hundred if the exact number if just too high to get right. “Dying of thirst” is a common English expression and is not meant to be taken literally. blackwidow Jeff Hopkins '82 Dafatone I'm lowkey rooting for the Avs, but Nash on the cup is absolutely the best part of TB winning if they do. I've always said the Stanley Cup doesn't belong below the Mason-Dixon Line, and I'm definitely not a fan of a Florida team winning it. So I'm also rooting for Colorado. But I agree it would be cool to see Nash win it. I'm rooting for the Bolts allby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Re: Ertel to OHL - 8 weeks ago
BearLover Swampy Ertel's story reminds me of Tony Romano's. He also was a hotshot scorer (but 178th in the draft) who left Cornell for the OHL. I don't think he even got a cup of coffee in the NHL. I hope Ertel does.Ertel could be serving cups of coffee at Starbucks in a few years. More likely Tim Horton's.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Roy 82 Jeff Hopkins '82 Robb KenP Even if we won that last, all-important game I'd still say Maryland is the better team overall and deserving of #1 in the polls. Absolutely. Check out MD's box scores for the season - ahead of PSU by 18-3 after 3, ahead of JHU by 22-4 after 3. toddlose CU77 Amazing season, thank you players and coaches! Playing on Memorial Day was an accomplishment few of us fans would have believed possible four months ago. Ran into one of the all-time great teams in the final, came within 2 goals. We could not have asked for more from these men. +1. Perfectly stated! Robb CU77 On to the quarterfinals! Massey gives Cornell a 63% probability of beating Delaware, vs what would have been 30% against Georgetown. Reminds me of 2010, when Cornell was the #7 seed. Needed triple OT to beat Loyola in the first round, and was set to go against #2 Cuse (who had beaten Cornell 8-7 at Schoellkopf in the regular season), but Cuse was upset by Army in OT. Ken711 George64 Here’s an excerpt from a Rochester D&C article about college football coaches on the hot seat — David Shaw, Stanford: Here are the cold facts about Shaw. He is a good coach, the winningest in the program’s history. . . Last year’s team failed miserably in areas that used to be strengths: running the ball and stopping the run. George64 Scersk '97One of my many concerns regarding the Roosevelt Island project is whether it will cause a brain drain in science and engineering from the Ithaca campus to the great detriment of the University. Frankly, a Cornell without engineers rubbing shoulders with hotelies, architects (even the misled ones), etc., etc. is not Cornell. To the contrary, Cornell is making a huge capital iby Jeff Hopkins '82 - John Spencer Is Dead
