tretiak Riley Nash also got his 100 career point on the goal, right? Yep -- first Cornell junior to reach 100 points since Matt Moulson (Moulson's 100th point was his assist on Mike Iggulden's GWG against Ohio State in the 2005 NCAA tournament).by Avash - Hockey

Re: [Yale] Sean Backman out for the season - 14 years ago
nshapiro Article says "He has returned home and is not currently with the team" I guess Yale is one of those schools where a senior is not close to graduation, so just blow off school because your eligibility is up. Yale's on spring break.by Avash - Hockey

redice Al DeFlorio Related to this item, interesting sentence in today's Ithaca Journal: Scrivens stopped 28 shots, but Schafer said he wasn't pleased with the first goal -- even though he felt Scrivens was interfered with -- and other things that Scrivens did. And, how about that second period play where he flipped the puck in the air from his glove and attempted to swat it out of the air wby Avash - Hockey

Teams Cornell has never played before: Bemidji State, Alaska-Anchorage, Nebraska-Omaha, Connecticut, Bentley, Holy Cross. Re: Cornell-RPI Postgame (Game 2) 3/14/09 - 15 years ago
jtwcornell91KillerDid RPI have a legit SOG in the 3rd period, meaning one that they themselves actually took? I see in the box score that they had 1, but I recall hearing the RPI announcer say that Scrivens had to stop an errant pass by one of our guys that was supposed to go behind the net, but wound up on-goal. Is it possible that that was the 1 save he had for the period? I believe somethiby Avash - Hockey

Re: Looking for Love Online - 15 years ago
RobbSo, I have this "friend" who wants to watch the Harvard game online. I came across something called CBS XXL, which appears to be their online college sports service, and lo-and-behold, the Cornell/Harvard game is on the schedule. The only option seems to be to subscribe for a month for $15, but they do seem to have a fair number of college hockey games available, so I'd probablyby Avash - Hockey

Re: Cornell moves to #1 in KRACH and Pairwise - 15 years ago
lynah80Matt Gilroy must be a fast healer. He was back on the ice tonight against BC and managed to score a goal. Separated shoulder? BU 5 BC 2 As a medical student (which doesn't mean I necessarily know anything), I feel I should mention that there are at least six official types of separated shoulders -- the least severe of which is usually treated with just ice and Advil. Still, retby Avash - Hockey

RitaAvashTrotskyJacob '06What is the NCAA record? It's either Ryan Miller or the Lake State goalie, and it's completely insane. Dekanich set the ECAC streak at 198 minutes, 44 seconds. 375:01 — Blaine Lacher, Lake Superior St., Feb. 26-March 2, 1994 Thats 6+ 60 minutes games. Was it during the CCHA tourney and does it include a (very) long OT game? My post should have said March 20, not Mby Avash - Hockey

Josh '99Contract extension metaphorically in hand, Douglas Murray was on the lineup for the Sharks on opening day. 15:24 in ice time, including (oddly) only 40 seconds on the PK - I'm confused because I expected him to do a lot of that this year. No penalties, 3 shots on goal (and one off target), 2 hits, 2 blocked shots. No giveaways or takeaways. Even plus/minus. Edit to add: The LA Kinby Avash - Hockey
Re: Frozen four championship game BC4-ND1 - 16 years ago
crodger1It really looked to me (from where I was sitting on my couch at home) that he was trying to kick the puck onto his stick blade and missed. No not only did he not kick it into the net, I don't think he was even trying to do so. Bleh, time for a new season already. Re: any word on Estero and non-ECACH opponents? - 16 years ago
sah67Ben Rocky '04Yes, its early, but I want to know. LGR LAX! Based on quotes from Jack Parker and Schafer around the time of the MSG game, I assume there will be a BU game on the schedule as part of the "3 year-agreement". Or do I perhaps remember something about it taking place over alternate years? BU won't be on Cornell's schedule next year. The agreement was for a game at Agby Avash - Hockey
