Re: Yale-Cornell Part II - 22 years ago
What a great game to watch! The power play was incredible. If they keep that up, life is going to be good. They weren't forcing the shots but when they had one, they took it. So pretty. I was worried in the first period because Yale was doing a great job on the rush. They were also running an excellent neutral-zone trap and shutting down our players when we tried to get through the neutralby Jodi - Hockey
Re: Mazzoleni on Harvard's rivals - 22 years ago
I think there's not specifically a hockey rivalry between Harvard and yale, but there's such a huge football / academic rivalry that it could possibly be applied to all of the sports in sort of a general way. My brother was in the band at Harvard (wow, I can't believe I'm admitting that in public!) and all of their hate songs are aimed at yale. and the Oscar goes to Palahicky for the best piece of acting I've ever seen in a hockey game. About 4 minutes into the game, Underhill and one of the defensemen were both stickless. The puck got knocked into the air near Palahicky. In a nice piece of quick thinking, he gloved it behind his back, hid the puck, and started "frantically" looking around his feet for the puck. sorry for being repetitive, but ditto to all of the above. the chdf was great, especially for those of us too lazy to actually research the other team but who wanted something intelligent to yell about anyways. thanks to kyle. ..and thanks of course to age for making this new one.by Jodi - Hockey
