This agrees with my best guess. Oh hey, Jack Gorton. I've heard tales of his stupidity before LOL. Are you saying that he is just stupid or stupid for picking RPI? That's bonkers! Considering RPI's performance last season, it makes sense. They did lose five players to the portal whom I would have liked to see back.by ursusminor - Hockey

Re: Pep Band Should Not Travel - 20 days ago
When I read this thread early this morning, I did not at first realize this thread was from 2004, before a lot of the current players were born. I read the first post and wondered why someone stated that Schafer was resigning and not retiring. Can someone fill me in on what happened back then? Since I am an RPI alum, I do not recall. Perhaps he resigned his membership from Amazon Prime.by ursusminor - Hockey

BearLover TRENDING UP Clarkson—JF Houle appears to be a very good coach who has a big presence recruiting from the CHL. The counterargument is that Clarkson has lost and will likely continue to lose players to the portal. But signs point to this being more than offset by CHL recruiting. RPI—Hiring Eric Lang makes RPI look like a serious program again. He’s brought in a ton of decent looking trby ursusminor - Hockey

Iceberg ursusminor The NCAA has a rule against giving out noisemakers after the RPI Big Red Freakout! game against Brown in 1987. What happened? Many of the giveaways, combined with a well-primed student body, have resulted in frenetic noise levels designed to distract and disrupt the opposition. A lively pep band that sometimes grows to near-orchestral size on Freakout nights adds to theby ursusminor - Hockey

ursusminor scoop85 ursusminor RPI is expected to announce its new coach today. Eric Lang the likely choice? Yes. He has given notice to AIC, and AIC has posted a vacancy. Of course, he might have done that anyway since AIC is dropping out of D-I. Jason Tapp has also been mentioned often. Nothing was announced on Monday.by ursusminor - Hockey

stereax ursusminor RPI's leading scorer (not a big accomplishment) defenseman Will Gilson will play for QU next season. RPI got him from the portal from UAA a year ago, so I should not be too mad, but I am. Standard Quinnipiac bullshit. He is from Connecticut, so he's going closer to home. Of course, Troy is a lot closer to home than Anchorage, so relatively it's a smaller change..by ursusminor - Hockey

dag14 Al DeFlorio George64 Trotsky We have been fortunate to have eLynah, and USCHO, and before them all Wayne Smith and Mike Machnik's hockey-l all the way back in the early 90s before some of you were born. Before that was Don Birkmayer's "The Hockey News," begun in 1954, before we all (I think?) were born. We stand on the shoulders of giants. Wrong! . Very. Ditto Add onby ursusminor - Hockey
