Re: I like Moulson Better, but.... - 20 years ago
I think that Moulson is a great impact player for the Big Red. He has good speed, skating and puck handling abilities. Hynes on the other hand, handles the puck well and plays a great physical game. Hynes' size and physical toughness is what makes him more desirable for an NHL team. I like them both. I am glad to see them wearing Red. Either one may have a shot at an NHL career, but I am going tby Alan - Hockey
Re: Nieuwendyk - 20 years ago
ESPN.com has this article: but doesn't detail the injury. It looks like we have to wait to find out what it is and how long he may be out!by Alan - Hockey
Call the ticket office!!! - 21 years ago
I just got a call from the ticket office! I won the second lottery, but already have tickets. They were for the Minnesota sections (119, 120). They also received 20 tickets from UNH. They have all kinds of tickets and are concerned that they won't be able to sell them. If you need any seats, call them! 254 -BEAR I just posted this to the ticket exchange, but wanted to let everyone know.by Alan - Hockey
Re: Jerry York comments on Cornell-UNH for ESPN - 21 years ago
I am sure that everyone wants to know about UNH gymnastics. ROFL! JK, I did want to add the part about "Image this:" I know that it will fire most of you up!by Alan - Hockey
Re: Jerry York comments on Cornell-UNH for ESPN - 21 years ago
The rest of the article: Imagine this: UNH beats Cornell Thursday afternoon and Michigan upsets Minnesota Thursday night. Wildcats vs. Wolverines for the title Saturday night. It would not be the only Michigan-New Hampshire NCAA matchup that night. The UNH gymnastics team is competing in the NCAA Regionals that night in Ann Arbor. UNH is ranked No. 28 in the country and is the No. 4 seed in Aby Alan - Hockey

No tickets, yet! I'm working a lot of angles. But, do or die, I will be there!by Alan - Hockey
Re: ESPN.com Poll - 21 years ago
I think that the rabid fans are speeking, CC is 4th, Minny has blown everyone away.by Alan - Hockey
Re: Providence Tickets - 21 years ago
I am in 227. Are these decent seats? It is upper deck corner, so I would guess no, but I have never been to this arena. Does anyone know how the view will be from here?by Alan - Hockey
Re: adam picks BC to win it all - 21 years ago
Shame on you Adam! Just Kidding! No one can say that he wasn't objective!by Alan - Hockey
Re: Bring it on! - 21 years ago
Yeah, the #1 seed didn't get us anything special. All I can say is. . . . bring it on. This is the best post in response to the teams we drew. I'm with you Tom!by Alan - Hockey
Re: Cornell - Brown spoilers - 21 years ago
So much for spoilers, anyone who does not want to be spoiled, DON'T go the the uscho home page.by Alan - Hockey
Re: Polls 3/17 - 21 years ago
Keep CC in first. I would rather not play with the burden that 1st place has carried this year. It seems to be a jinx to everyone from NoDak to BC. Even CC has received its share of losses while in first.by Alan - Hockey
Re: Favorite between-period entertainment? - 21 years ago
Little kids rule! Get 30 of them out there with 3 pucks. Best entertainment for the money!by Alan - Hockey
Re: Frozen Four - 21 years ago
I found 8 tickets for sale already on ebay. 2 sets of two tickets and one set of 4 tickets. Prices are not to far over the sale price, yet. Ok, I did a more general search and came up with 8 sets of tickets on sale, 20 tickets in all. I'm sure there will be many more, but prices asked may increase as we get closer to the weekend of the event.by Alan - Hockey

Chris Parkin '03 wrote: Lenny put on a SHOW at Red/White during the shootout. I think he stopped four of five but I don't remember exactly. Granted that's not game conditiones etc. etc. but it was still damn impressive. Yes, Chris, I agree, he was great in the Red-White shootout. The breakaway that I recall vividly was the Mark Mullen SHG in the 3rd period of the Sunday BU game. I believe tby Alan - Hockey
Re: How good is Lenny? - 21 years ago
I have the same concerns. I believe that Lenny is very, very good. But, does he make our defense or does our defense make him? I think he had a few off games at the WJCs. I wish he was given another chance to get back in net and work out the butterflies. He makes stops in games that are sometimes amazing, but I have rarely seen him stop a breakaway. He rarely sees any breakaways though, so thisby Alan - Hockey
Re: Moulson, PLAYER OF THE WEEK - 21 years ago
WTG, Matt! It's hard to pick a premier offensive performer for the Big Red on any given weekend. This one was no exception. Knoepfli had a five assist weekend. Mark McRae had one goal and four assists. A total of 15 Big Red players were involved in scoring. This spread of talent and production make it hard for anyone to standout. Matt, however, had a dominant weekend, especially against Dartmouthby Alan - Hockey

Re: OT: Hip Hop Hip Help - 21 years ago
Holy smokes! I thought I would never see a thread like this on a hockey forum. I wish I could help you out, but I have no idea of what you are talking about.by Alan - Hockey
Re: PWR Fallout - 21 years ago
Things will change. The four teams ahead of us are playing each other, this weekend. There will be at least two teams that drop their RPI (rating). They may not drop as much as us, but we will gain a little ground.by Alan - Hockey
Re: Bertagna column - 21 years ago
He makes great points about thundersticks and the need for fresh, witty cheers. I remember listening to the W Mich games and being quite anoid with the thundersticks, I remember Adam Wodon being annoid, also.by Alan - Hockey
Re: USCHO.com poll, 1/27 - 21 years ago
Cornell gains 11 more points, this is nice, considering that our strength of schedule is diminishing.by Alan - Hockey
Re: First Half TBRW? Award Choices - 21 years ago
I would like to nominate Scott Hansen for the Belanger. His lovely work in the BU weekend is going to be hard to beat.by Alan - Hockey
Ithaca Times - 21 years ago
The Ithaca Times, this week has a great article on the team. If you can't get a free copy at your local grocery store, check it out online. www.ithacatimes.com Bell, Wallace, and Palahicky are on the cover. The article focuses on the "Team Effort" and trying to speak of the contributions of "unsung heros".by Alan - Hockey
Re: Nieuwy 500 Countdown: 1!!!!! - 21 years ago
Good thing he got the 500 Gorilla off of his back. Now, it's time to dance. Who else would like to (maybe) see the cup in Dunbar's again?by Alan - Hockey
Re: Hobey Baker Fan Voting - 21 years ago
Holy Smokes! 3 NoDak Patsies in the top three spots. and 3 more on the list further down. I know that Sue fans are biased, but they're getting a little ahead of themselves here.by Alan - Hockey
Re: Polls 1/20 - 21 years ago
It is nice to see that Cornell gained a few points in both polls. I hope that we continue to be strong in these polls.by Alan - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Union, 1/17 - 21 years ago
Yes, I admit, I came up with it on the spot, and it was late. I'm surprised I don't see more NoDak haters calling them the Sue, but maybe it's not as funny as I thought it was.by Alan - Hockey
Re: National picture - 21 years ago
Unfortunately, Cornell's KRACH Str of Sched has dropped to 10th, as posted on USCHO. And, NoDak is 11th. I guess pretty soon we won't be able to pick on the Sue about playing Canisius.by Alan - Hockey
