Re: Cornell vs. UNH scores and updates- spoilers inside - 21 years ago
You said: "I don't want hear all this bullshit about "oh it was a great season, so gratifying, etc. etc." On the biggest moment of their hockey lives so far, every single one of them choked." You are absolutely wrong. They outplayed UNH 3/4 of the game. You must have been watching another game b/c I thought they were all giving 100%. Maybe they didn't play their best gaby Ogletorp - Hockey

Hey Avash, Go SCREW YOURSELF!!!! You are the most pathetic fan I have ever seen! Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: NYC Frozen Four gathering - INFO - 21 years ago
I'll be there towards the end of the 1st period. Looking forward to it! Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: NYC Frozen Four gathering - 21 years ago
I would definitely meet for a little while at a midtown location. Let me know what you guys decide. Best, Ogie Post Edited (04-01-03 17:30)by Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Watching in NYC - 21 years ago
easy there Mo. I actually bought a plane ticket to get up there and found out last minute that I need to work over the weekend. Hoping to leave work tomorrow for a few mid-day beers and some great college hockey with some other true fans. So anybody got any advice on where to watch? Best, Ogie p.s. getting very excited for this weekend! Have a good feeling Bâby, Vesce and Paolini arby Ogletorp - Hockey
Watching in NYC - 21 years ago
Anyone watching the game tomorrow in NYC? Unfortunately, I can't make it to Providence. Any suggestions on bars downtown? Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Marr Against Vermont? - 21 years ago
I understand your thought process Adam, but I agree with Age on this. Not going to happen. That is just not the way top notch coaches think. We have one of the best goalies in the country unless there are unforeseen circumstances, we will not be playing any other goalies going forward. Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Baby's B-Day - 21 years ago
Graham, Settle down there. We are not the same person. I have met Mo before and enjoyed a few cold ones with him after a couple games. Just because we agree that Bâby is a solid player and like posting about him doesn't mean we are the same. Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Baby's B-Day - 21 years ago
Good plan Adam, let's see if we can start something up tomorrow night during the game. Maybe that will put some fire in him. Need to get revenge after last nights game! Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Hobey Baker Fan Voting - 21 years ago
I like that attitude Chris. I guess those Ferris State and N. Dakota fans have a lot of time on their hands, but who are we kidding, so do we! So, get out there and vote for Bâby. Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: LeNeveu for Hobey - 21 years ago
I disagree with you about Lenny Ben, but I did get a laugh with your reaction to Erica. Don't get me wrong, I will vote for Lenny "with full support," but Bâby is definitely getting my first place votes! Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Hobey Baker Fan Voting - 21 years ago
I knew the day would come Age. I also agree with Mo here. Lenny is one hell of a goaltender, but after all his time here I think he deserves it the most. He is really starting to trun it up afte the last few weekends. First place votes to Bâby and second to Lenny. EVERYDAY! Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Baby vs Murray - 21 years ago
The Bâby vs Vesce match did happen on Slope Day. Classic match of Bâby not wanting to get taken down by a slightly smaller Vesce. I'm sure there were lots of laughs (and beers) that day. Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Baby vs Murray - 21 years ago
Once again Mo, you got me laughing. I'm gonna have to go with Bâby also. I heard he had some nasty fights out on the ice back playing in Green Bay. Word is the kid knows how to toss the Coopers. Would be very interesting to say the least! Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: USCHO Front Page Article on Murray - 21 years ago
It may seem that I agree with Mo a lot and yet disagree sometimes but I notice his sarcasm and see his intentions. I do remember Mo from last year posting about Steve Bâby and his glowlights (not really sure what the meaning of that is) and Undy's potential, so Ben you don't have a justification there. Mo seems to be in it for the team while others think he is just trying to cause troubleby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Paolini Named 2003 Hockey Humanitarian Award Finalist - 21 years ago
I really hope Sammy gets this. Not many players around the league have the heart that Sammy does. Not only has Sammy helped our team tremendously on the ice, he is an outstanding role model for the younger members of the team. Even if he doesn't win it, I'm sure his family will be winning some more of those 50/50 raffles! The Cornell ladies must love Sammy for his heart and the Italian in himby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: USCHO Front Page Article on Murray - 21 years ago
I know he didn't open his mouth on this thread but he has over on USCHO. I was referring to that, not sure about Mo. If Murray was having such a bad year like some people say, why would Schaffer keep playing him? To me, Schaffer and all the guys on the team know a lot more about hockey than any of us and they all realize how good he is. Obviously Age can have his own opinion, but I would justby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: USCHO Front Page Article on Murray - 21 years ago
Age, It just seems like you are proud that you can rip into one of our best players. Does that make you feel good? Hell, I could criticize Wayne Gretzky for never playing physical hockey, but he is still the greatest hockey player of all time (and no I'm not comparing). Sure Dougie makes a few mistakes, but in the end he makes the best plays, hits, shots, and opportunities for the team than aby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: USCHO Front Page Article on Murray - 21 years ago
Melissa, It's not about being a schmuck, it's about sticking up for the Cornell team and not bashing them. Personally I think Dougie is holding up for himself this year. Dougie had a great year last year and Age (and a small group of others) can't get that out of their one-sided mind. I can guarantee if you ask any player on the team if they think Dougie isn't doing well this year, they willby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Bâby Approaches Milestone - 21 years ago
What's with the attitude Age? All I am saying is that I am unaware of this incident. Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Bâby Approaches Milestone - 21 years ago
I'm a little lost on this North Country Pizza incident Adam??by Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Bâby Approaches Milestone - 21 years ago
That's classic Mo! No one said Bâby was the smartest fish in the bowl but he sure does have leadership, a very physical attitude, great determination, and one of the best hockey senses on the team. Contrary to popular opinion, hockey players actually can read.by Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Bâby Approaches Milestone - 21 years ago
well Jim, it means exactly what it says. I guess I would need to speak in old folk terms for you. "Nothing to worry about, he will definitely get to the milestone" Best, Ogieby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: Bâby Approaches Milestone - 21 years ago
No worries, Bâby has this one in the bag. Like I have said in earlier posts, this kid is going to turn it on in the 2nd half of the season. I wouldn't be surprised if he breaks it this weekend. Mark my words, he is going out of his senior season with a bang. No way he is letting up now.by Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: hockey fund raiser - 21 years ago
I have to agree with R here. I got my call last night and decided to donate. Steve Bâby made sure to thank me for supporting the team financially and each and every weekend. Very classy kid! By not donating you are hurting our team and our future. These players are taking time out of their busy schedules to help out the future of Cornell hockey. Believe me they appreciate all of us iby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: USCHO player of the week? - 21 years ago
word is Bâby was on the ice a lot over the holidays. Seems like he has picked up a step or two. He has really been talking about turnin on the heat the second half of the season with the rest of the team. I think this is our year! Personally I would like to see him toss some more bodies around. Nothing scares a team more than seeing one of there guys thrown into the boards like Bâby Ogletorp - Hockey
Re: USCHO player of the week? - 21 years ago
yea, let's be serious here...It's all about who can win a fight after tossing the Coopers on the ice. My bet's on Bâby. Put 'em in a body bag Bâby!!!!!by Ogletorp - Hockey
