What a mess. Nothing links to where it should. The "Rankings" dropdown to "Pairwise" once selected links to a news article from 2013.by GBR1234 - Hockey

Just wondering... if anyone knows whether CU came in to Ohio by bus or airline? It's about 8.5 hour drive.by GBR1234 - Hockey

Forever Faithful - 6 years ago
Just received my copy of the new book "Forever Faithful: Celebrating the Greatest Moments of Cornell Hockey", by Jim Roberts and Arthur Mintz. All I can say is, WOW... Just beautifully done! Truly a labor of love an a must have for any CU hockey fan. I was just ribbing a Quinnipiac hockey fan today when I proudly showed off the book. Noting that the Big Red have an almost 300 page histby GBR1234 - Hockey

Why was a 2 minute penalty not assessed against UML after the goal was disallwoed for having too many men on the ice? Can some explain?by GBR1234 - Hockey
Re: Manchester Roll Call - 7 years ago
Give the CU pep Band an extra nod tomorrow. They are leaving for Manchester on a 3:45am Bus to play at the game. Love those kids! Cornell has the best school spirit in the Ivy League and ECAC for that matter... Go Red!by GBR1234 - Hockey

If CU plays in Providence or Manchester, I am close enough to attend. Can someone please advise me of the best way to get tickets after the venues are announced? Should I jump right on and buy tickets from the NCAA site or try to get them through Cornell ticket office from school allotment?by GBR1234 - Hockey

Re: Clarkson @ Cornell 03/10-3/12?/17 - 7 years ago
Passing was a bit better tonight. Cornell managed to control Clarkson's speedy transitional game much better and used their bodies more aggressively in the corners of the offensive zone. That, to me was the difference. Also Lynah was nearly full tonight and the crowd was LOUD and relentless... That always helps!by GBR1234 - Hockey
Re: Clarkson @ Cornell 03/10-3/12?/17 - 7 years ago
And I was sitting in section O... so not a lot of close up scoring views from my vantage point. It seemed like CU had lots of chances, and I was shocked to see only 2 shots credited in the first. From my perspective, Cornell was hurt by Clarkson's speed, quick transitional play and relentless forecheck. CU's passing was not nearly as crisp as usual and they didn't use their bodies enough in tby GBR1234 - Hockey

If we had beat Colorado College at the Florida Hockey Classic, the pairwise predictor would have CU at #6. A win against Merrimack on 10/28 along with a win against Colorado college would make Big Red #5. Those losses really hurt... in particular, but it also tells us we have a darn good team this year as we approach the tournaments.by GBR1234 - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Clarkson 2017-02-18 Video Link - 7 years ago
Clarkson's pesky play, especially the forecheck is keeping CU off their system. Yale did this to great success last time out.by GBR1234 - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ SLU 2/17/17 - 7 years ago
If CU had any kind of forecheck on the powerplay rather than just letting SLU skate to CU blue line each time, maybe it would still be 3-1.by GBR1234 - Hockey

Re: Rankings - 7 years ago
Perhaps it would have been better posting this here rather than in Bracketology thread: >For those far more familiar with pairwise than me... would it be better for Harvard or Northeastern to win tonight for improving or maintaining CU's #13 pairwise ranking?by GBR1234 - Hockey

Re: Dartmouth vs. Cornell 1/28/17 - 7 years ago
I usually don't complain about officiating, but tonight in the 3rd it cost us the game. Dartmouth's Crema is a downright dirty player, maybe not as bad as Eric Neiley, but he got away with a lot tonight.by GBR1234 - Hockey

CAS Do we know why Gilliam didn't play? In the pregame coach S. said he'd been working really hard and deserved the start.by GBR1234 - Hockey
