Re: Free* Cornell Hockey Stuff - 9 years ago
Bahnstorm The library (University Archives) always appreciates items, photos, films, and ephemera. I've built up the hockey holdings over the years, with help from folks on this forum, but, probably because of the greater alumni base, the football collections, , have grown the most. Not counting all the other photos and ephemera, we've tracked down over 1000 game films, we sadly lost a biddingby Josh '99 - Hockey
Free* Cornell Hockey Stuff - 9 years ago
Hi All, My wife and I are moving apartments in a few weeks, and in the process we're getting rid of some stuff that we don't use or feel like packing and moving. Among these things are some various CU Hockey (and other) memorabilia that folks here might want. All of these are free* to good Cornell hockey fan homes. Jim Hyla marty margolism All shots are not created equal. All saves are not created equal. Adfing a qualitative component to these statistics to make them more valuable and telling. And all assists are not created equal. For sure some assists are not equal, watch Saulnier (19) on CU's second goal. It starts around 1:10. Now that's an assist."Big Red puts up an impressive 8 points aby Josh '99 - Hockey

TimV Beeeej I love how you keep saying these things as if the people who read and post to this forum have anything to do with winning vs. losing. Wait... You mean all that prayer, masses, novenas, and an occasional animal sacrifice have NO effect???Are we doing animal sacrifice more often than once a year at the Harvard game now?by Josh '99 - Hockey

RatushnyFan Was that Rob Pannell on the ice during the second intermission?? I was in the presence of greatness!Yes, along with (if I recall correctly) John Glynn. They rather stunk up the joint when pitted against Penn State lacrosse alumni in the "score a goal from the red line, the far blue line, and the far faceoff circle" contest, but given all they did for the lacrosse team, I tby Josh '99 - Hockey

Trotsky KeithK Chris H82 As a former freshman team kicker in the late 70s, I'd think that would be a spot that could be filled without too much problem. With the growth of youth soccer these days, there are lots of kids with strong legs out there. Can't they recruit someone off the soccer team, a la Steven Hauschka? underskill I don't think it's losing per se, the program has just felt stuck in neutral the past few years, maybe the fourth or fifth best program in the conference since 2010.So what you're saying is, the problem is the relative mediocrity?by Josh '99 - Hockey

ugarte Bahnstorm Second, that video was hilarious. The O players flub the play so Leggio's move wasn't even necessary, but what puts it over the top is seeing him signaling for the penalty shot with his hands above his head and pointing to center ice, like he'd prefer that over the 2:00 minutes. video: He stopped the penalty shot too. Re: Alumni in the Pros - October 2014 - 9 years ago
I thought Riley Nash looked pretty good for the Hurricanes against the Rangers last night. He seemed to be getting a lot of minutes late in the tied third period and into overtime, and won 71% of his faceoffs (though just about everyone on Carolina was dominating the Rangers on faceoffs). It is weird rooting for Dominic Moore, Lee Stempniak, Tanner Glass and Marty St. Louis, and against Rilby Josh '99 - Hockey

sah67 Douglas Murray comments on the negative aspects of player tryout contracts: If the showcasing of the defenseman’s “speed” the last two NHL seasons has been any indication, his future in the league is bleak and Europe may very well be his final landing spot.Ouch.by Josh '99 - Hockey
