Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: Perfection Returns to Lynah - 4 years ago
Seeing the 1970 team was great, however I feel the need to vent my frustration here before sending Andy Noel a letter. As a fan of over 40 years I have seen a few special events held at Lynah. Honoring our Championship teams, retired numbers etc.... It blows my mind that no one has the thought process to get a couple of carpets to roll out to center ice and have the distinguished guests be at ceby slh10 - Hockey
Re: ECAC QF Game 3: Cornell 4 Union 2 - 5 years ago
Trotsky upprdeck listening to his pre game on the radio he doesnt come across very well. What was the complaint about the knee penalty call? not that it was wrong or that they reviewed it? Union got away with a ton.. even when the game was almost over, I forget who they tripped at center ice, but then when that player was trying to get over the wall on a line change they went over and trieby slh10 - Hockey
Re: 2019-03-01: Cornell at St. Lawrence - 5 years ago
As I sit next to our penalty box I guess I had one of the best vantage points. He did go up the tunnel and after all the discussion about the penalty Schafer basically asked him if he could serve the penalty. He seemed to be in a lot of pain during his time in the box. I never saw him return to the ice. He spent the last few minutes at the end of the bench behind the goalies. Hopefully just a stiby slh10 - Hockey
Re: NCAA D1 Mens Hockey Revenues - 6 years ago
Actually Spectrum did away with the channels that carried those events. So now we get no local sports programming at all. And now they are in a contract pissing contest with Fox, so no Fox either.by slh10 - Hockey
Re: Men's Preseason Talk - 6 years ago
"The men's hockey team has announced that senior forward Alex Rauter and junior forward Mitch Vanderlaan will serve as co-captains for the upcoming season, with senior forwards Jared Fiegl and Trevor Yates serving as the alternates."by slh10 - Hockey
Re: Achievements - 7 years ago
Al DeFlorio Hooking How long? Ever since I decided to stop making excuses and instead look for improvement. Blaming the refereeing, the ice condition, the travel, the crowd, the bad breaks - none of these ever improved a team.If 14-6-2 isn't a good season to you you are clueless...as well as tiresome, boring, and annoying. Change your handle to Whining. +1by slh10 - Hockey
Re: Recruits 2016 and Beyond - 7 years ago
Al DeFlorio slh10 BORING!!! BORING!!! BORING!!! I think "See ya..." would be more appropriate. Nothing worse than a whiner. Yeah Al that would have worked also. Just tired of all the negativity. Most of us come here to talk about our beloved Big Red win or lose. As I get older, the young men are young enough to be my own kids. This make one realize it's just a game and they are justby slh10 - Hockey
Re: Sc Johnson $150 million gift - 7 years ago
Just the fact that you are BORING!!! If you don't like the product on the ice go down the hall and watch basketball. Your pointless drivel is redundant. We get it, you don't like Schafer or his style of hockey. Move on!!! Sorry to everyone else for feeding the trolls!!!by slh10 - Hockey
Re: game programs and 50/50 - 8 years ago
Programs were definitely sold in the same places they have been for years. As for the 50/50 I was also told it had to do with some paperwork being filed with ith IRS.by slh10 - Hockey

Re: Cornell at Yale 2013 - 11 years ago
I have wondering the same about Gotovets. Didn't see him last week with the other non dressing players and don't recall hearing any mention of him being injured.by slh10 - Hockey
Re: New recruit - 11 years ago
According to twitter and some other sources McCarron has now decided to go to Western Michigan. Tough loss for the Big Red.by slh10 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 6 USMNTU-18 2 (FINAL) - 11 years ago
No, Craig did not play this past weekend as he was golfing with the golf team in its final tournament. I would be very surprised if he sees much ice time this season. But if the injury bug happens, you never know.by slh10 - Hockey
Re: Kyle Dake - 12 years ago
Kyle finished third at the Olympic trials today. He did pin Taylor from PSU. Congratulations Kyle on an outstanding run.by slh10 - Other Sports
Re: Kyle Dake - 12 years ago
Having watched Kyle wrestle since grade school, there is one thing that has never seemed to bother him and that's pressure. He seems to thrive on it. If he puts his mind to winning at another weight I wouldn't bet against him.by slh10 - Other Sports
