According to the IJ, David McKee is back in the news. He's seeking to have charges dismissed. He's also signed with the Allen Americans, in the CHL, who are located right near his home town and are a Dallas Stars affiliate. He has yet to play a game. Hey all, a couple of friends and I are driving home after graduating yesterday, so we just have phone access, is anyone in a position to give more frequent score and time updates, a la hockey? Would be much appreciated if possible. Thanks!by saff678 - Other Sports
Re: Important message to ice hockey ticket holders - 15 years ago
I'm in my fourth undergrad year of attending games, and every time they try to stop swearing, the only way of convincing us to stop is by threatening to kick us out. That makes it seems like the only reason to stop swearing is so they won't kick us out, whereas the people on this thread have presented some much more admirable reasons. If the email they sent to us said, "stop swearing becauseby saff678 - Hockey

Any recommendations for a place to eat in Hamilton? Not in the mood to spend that much, but also not in the mood to end up at the Subway down the street like last time.by saff678 - Hockey

Another update from the Ithaca Journal... Notes: Seibald, who hurt his ankle in Saturday's win over Towson, said his injury has improved but he's not 100 percent. His status for Saturday's game is still uncertain. “It's doing alright,” he said. “I'm rehabbing it and taking it slow.” As to whether he thinks he'll be able to play on Saturday, he said: “I still don't know yet. Re: Separate ushers-vs.-fans game thread? - 17 years ago
But it's inconsistency that makes this so difficult. Sure, throw us all out when the third period begins, or when someone goes into the box. But don't throw out two people and say you're enforcing the rule. Don't make it an issue, as you said your usher does, of whether s/he happens to be standing behind you when you let it out. Be consistent, because this weekend I had an usher staring right atby saff678 - Hockey

For Topher's contact to the head after the play near the end, I saw two of their guys pinning him to the back of the goal and going at his head, while the play was still going. The scrum after was nothing compared to the beating he took that the refs didnt call.by saff678 - Hockey

Davenport impressed me again tonight - kept us in the game during a looong second period - a couple of stops on his chest that the team was able to clear almost have me a heart attack. Sure I'm scared when he leaves the net, especially if he doesn't know where the forecheck is, but sometimes he's been great at it. In the last 30 seconds, leaving to stop one coming around the top of the boards keby saff678 - Hockey
Re: Weekend Not Yet a Sellout - 17 years ago
But I think it's important to note that for those of us who are used to the system where the SA subsidizes the sporting events, but isn't this year, we are paying the same student activities fee as last year, but not getting the same benefit. Sure, it's just part of the system that some clubs get money and some dont, and some clubs are better attended than others. But still, athletics is probablyby saff678 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 4 Robert Morris 1 - 17 years ago
I was really impressed with Davenport tonight - he seemed to have a good eye for the puck, and he stayed really relaxed the whole time, except that shot by Krantz that Troy caught between his knees. Almost gave both of us a heart attack, but he was quick to his knees.by saff678 - Hockey

Re: Reminder - Hockey Ticket Preregistration - 17 years ago
From what it looked like, first of all numbers were drawn in front of everyone in the center of the football field, not in the press box. Second, it appeared that the first undergrad number drawn was the 2 digit number 14, so presumably it was picked from a pot of 00-17.by saff678 - Hockey
