Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: PUHLEEZE....... - 18 years ago
TimVIn lacrosse if the hittee turns so as to cause a hit to become illegal, the rules specify that no penalty be called. Hockey doesn't have that specification as far as I know. I don't think they do either, and they definitely should IMO.by Tub(a) - Hockey

Tub(a)BTW, it's pretty sad how empty that rink is Not surprising considering it is at the State Coliseum Fairgrounds in Detroitby Tub(a) - Hockey

Thanks for the heads up!by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. Clarkson, Game 2 POSTGAME - 18 years ago
redhair34nr53That said, I was much more pleased that the crowd stayed put into the second OT on Saturday rather than on Friday when half of E, F and G were empty after the first OT. I actually think that some people thought the game ended in a tie after the first OT on Friday. It was probably cutting seriously into Frat party timeby Tub(a) - Hockey

DeltaOne81Tub(a)A-ronIs anyone else getting terrible video through the Cornell feed? It works for about 30 seconds then freezes and I ahve to reload it. AAAAAAA, I just missed a goal! If you are on wireless it won't work as well. Me too, always on wireless. Depends on where you are I guess, but my routers half a couch length away so its fine. Oh, and my wireless card is only 802.11B, btw.by Tub(a) - Hockey

abmarksHigh stick? When? Puck was knocked in on the ground. Unless moulson tipped seminoffs first shot? It was very hard to see, but it does look like Seminoff's shot hit Moulson's stick at about tummy level, fell to the ice, and then Moulson put it in.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. Clarkson, Game 2 POSTGAME - 18 years ago
What did people think of the winning goal? Was it a high stick? Even if it was, it's just further proof that all bad calls even out in the endby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
Tub(a)Clarkson was SO ANGRY after that goal, Leggio was slamming pucks down the ice and bashing sticks, Roll made an arms open why me motion to the Ref, Leggio pointed and yelled angrily at the ref... not sure why so much anger. And 2004 can rest in fucking peace. OK, after seeing the replay, they tried to argue for a high stick. I don't think it was close. Clarkson arguing about a goalby Tub(a) - Hockey

Pegs JUST missed the goal on a semi-break. Wow.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
McCutcheon JUST missed Abbott with a 2 on 1 pass, Clarkson comes down and takes a shot that deflects out of play.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
TrotskyTub(a)I'm not saying Dodge did, and I wish to congratulate him on his speedy and miraculous recovery. He didn't do that. And the penalty is for the danger of injury, not the actual injury. I see the game with Carnellian glasses too, but that call was totally legit. Let's just pray they survive it, because the Red are dominating this game. Thanks, missed the replay. Looking bacby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
abmarksTUBA- i am watching the 'cast...and they slow-mo'd the replay. clear x-check in the back from 2 feet away from the boards and the guy did a header. No debate K, thanks. I must have missed that. It's not like O'Byrne has never done such a thing before either.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
abmarksOB got bad louck though- guy was lined up and turned his back jjust as he got hit. Legit call, but unlucky. If the guy hadn't turned just then it would have been a side hit. But you've still gotta call it The NCAA should start penalizing forwards that turn into a hit to get the hit from behind call. I'm not saying Dodge did, and I wish to congratulate him on his speedy and miracby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Major - 18 years ago
HayekDo we start the 2ot down a man for 3:05? I have neither video nor audio, so you guys are all I've got (and gametracker, which never updates on my machine here). Was the O'Byrne call legit? Yes, Cornell will be down a man to start the 3rd period. I don't think you will get a fair opinion from eLynah. The replay I saw showed no actual crime, and Hansen certainly didn't call anything untby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
End of 1OT. There is 3:05 of the major left.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
3X3 hockey for 17 more seconds. Then 4X4.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
There is no way that Roll could have seen that play happen, it was on the near boards and right along the ice. Good acting job to draw the call though.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
Dodge is better. Couldn't see what happened on the play, Clarkson gets a bench minor and O'Byrne gets a 5 minute major hitting from behind. Hansen did not make a call until he saw a player on the ice.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
Dodge is on the ice, no penalty call initially.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell v. Clarkson Game 2 - 18 years ago
Seminoff to the box, Clarkson to the 4X3 advantage. This will be difficult. I hate 4X3s.by Tub(a) - Hockey
