Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: Lenny in the Times - 21 years ago
Agreed, Avash. What is more troubling are the persistent and plentiful trade rumours involving Sean Burke. Let's hope Lenny thinks this one through carefully...by Tub(a) - Hockey

Hey! I have an idea! Why don't you tell the goalie to DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE at the end to make it really effective?by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: USCHO question of the week - 21 years ago
I bet you the Maine fans are angry over that one...by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: key 'cheer' - 21 years ago
What Keith said. The key jingling cheer is not "You can't score." It is "We are beating you, get out of our rink." To say that jingling keys adversely affects a shutout is to say that drowing out Swanee with a prolonged "Dieeeee" sounds good.by Tub(a) - Hockey

It works right now if you put the link directly into the Quicktime player. Also, IT HAS SYNCHED AUDIO! The video quality is poor right now...by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: poor grades? - 21 years ago
Here is the fixed link to the article John posted. If you have a free 15 minutes, you should spend it reading this article. No, I take that back. You need to make 15 minutes available to read this article.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: How good is Lenny? - 21 years ago
Lenny is a fantastic positional goalie. I think it will take him a while to adapt to NHL speed. In the ECAC, you can show the 5 hole and take it away easily. That doesn't fool people on higher levels, including the WJCs. I think Lenny is very coachable, and that is why he was drafted high.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: 4 Options - 21 years ago
79->206->88 etc... was what the Pep Band caravan to RPI/Onion took. I think you can get on 81 to 206 if you want to, but there is no point.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Player-Related Songs - 21 years ago
I think I will arrange "In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida" and force people to say "Pegoraro-da-vida" insteadby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: BU/BC - 21 years ago
Ha, BU Fans on USCHO are complaining about Hansen's refereeingby Tub(a) - Hockey

Harvard has a band?by Tub(a) - Hockey

The top four mirror PWR before tonight's Beanpot action right?by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Personal Attacks on Players - 21 years ago
You stole my thunder Rich... It is quite ironic that those who are so opposed to saying anything negative about the team are so vociferous in their bashing of a fellow fan. I agree that while you are in the rink it is stupid and wrong to bash your team. However, I fail to see the point in not allowing criticism of the team "off the ice" in a forum that they (most likely) do not read.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Hornby Jail Time - 21 years ago
I was fooled. I also instantly thought of the scene in "Slap Shot" where the cops come after the Hansen Brothersby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Gary Bettman - 21 years ago
Ha, I not only saw him, I convinced him to conduct the victory song with the Pep Band. He was in the 7th row of Section I. Of course, if you are one of who leaves the second the game ends, you wouldn't have seen it.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: top 15 2/7 - 21 years ago
Am I right in thinking that the Maine loss coupled with a BU Beanpot win would be very good for us?by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Interesting: WCHA and CHA auto berths - 21 years ago
haha, sorry, I noticed the INCH story first. Your article told us more anywaysby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Marr Against Vermont? - 21 years ago
Also, Hornby was kicked out early in the Colgate road game. If Schafer wanted to roll four lines, he needed to put a defender on the wing.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: "This Week in ECAC Hockey" - 21 years ago
The only reason I can think of for showing it at 6:30 on Fridays is that it would make a logical lead-in to their televised ECAC games when they start.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Marr Against Vermont? - 21 years ago
I think starting Marr would only contribute to the possibility of a letdown. If the coach puts in the backup, he is indicating (whether externally or latently) that he feels the opposing team is of less quality than most.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: - 21 years ago
Adam, Republicans are the party of the rich because they favor plans that make the rich richer, not necessarily because of the demographic makeup of the party. Besides, I have always been confused as to why poor farmers favor the Republican party. If there are chemicals (arsenic) in the drinking water and smog in the air, how much longer can sustainable agriculture last? And Bill, I thiby Tub(a) - Hockey

Just wanted to clarify that I support a flat tax cut, not a flat taxby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: - 21 years ago
Or how about a flat tax cut? Everyone gets 1000-1500 bucks, regardless of income. This would cost hundreds of billions of dollars less than Bush's plan, and stimulate the economy. The downside is that Dick Cheney wouldn't get as hefty a tax cutby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: - 21 years ago
Following that logic, since the United States has "nuclear and chemical weapons, and other "weapons of mass destruction", would you say that another nation attacking us was preventing WWIII?by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Colgate's Band - 21 years ago
You know, things are getting a little heated in here, so I thought it would be nice to read some pleasant song lyrics: "Way down upon the Swanee River, Far, far away. That's where my heart is turning ever. That's where the old folks stay. All up and down the whole creation, Sadly I roam, Still longing for the old plantation, And for the old folks at home. All the world is sad and dreary, Eby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Colgate's Band - 21 years ago
The reason for changing from the "Red Raiders" to the "Raiders" was not an epiphany that indeed their color was Maroon, but a concern over the un-PC term "Red."by Tub(a) - Hockey
