Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
(Semi-OT) Article on Hyphen - 19 years ago
Long article in the Globe this morning on Hyphen. My favorite quote is the last one in the piece.by Drew042 - Hockey
Re: 2/4: Cornell @ Colgate Postgame - 19 years ago
Definetly one of the best games I have seen in the last few years. Colgate has a great team, but they clearly need to forecheck more often. I still think that O'Byrne is a liability on defense. He has numerous turnovers, including one in the third that had it not been for McKee would have been an easy colgate goal. The only thing going for him is his size...he needs to start to establishing hby Drew042 - Hockey
Re: Tix at Colgate - 19 years ago
And other flying objects...a few years ago we were pelted by M and M's and empty pizza boxes (albeit we were in the colgate townie section). Cornell had 200 tickets as of last week when I got mine, so if they are indeed sold out, I hope we have a loud and boisterous contingent. See everyone Friday!!!by Drew042 - Hockey

The Harvard fans seem a little more into this year than the past few years I have been there....or am I imagining things?by Drew042 - Hockey

I thought everyone was overstating how bad these guys are...but I must say they are absolutely the worst announcers I have ever heard.by Drew042 - Hockey

The person's name can easily be gleened from several posts in the ticket exchange in case you want to supply that to Gene as well.by Drew042 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 4 Harvard 3 (F) - 21 years ago
Some thoughts now that I am back from a great weekend at Lynah East: We got the 3-0 lead in part to crashing the net and poking at rebonds something we didn't do as much the rest of the game, except for the 4th goal. The first period we were truly dominant, Harvard had a hard time setting anything up. In part it was the power plays and in part we were forechecking dominantly. The second perby Drew042 - Hockey

[OT] Signed C.U. jersey for auction - 21 years ago
Hi all- This Fri. from 7-9 pm a live auction will be held at the James Law Auditorium in the Vet School. This year, as in years past, we will be auctioning off some Cornell Hockey memorablia and tickets. We are auctioning off a home jersey autographed by the entire team as well as four tickets for the Vermont game at home. To be able to bid at the auction, just stop by the Vet School anytime bby Drew042 - Hockey
Re: Yale/Princeton thoughts - 21 years ago
I agree...great game tonight...their goalie played pretty well considering. Anyone know what happened to Iggy who did not return after the second period. Or why Pegararo was not in the lineup? Adam may have said it on pre/post game, but I missed those. BTW, section G was back to its orderly self as Gene came over and regulatedby Drew042 - Hockey
Re: Section G - 21 years ago
Most of us, at least in the top part of the seciton, are not "facetimers" as it was so put. I have been going to hockey games for 6 years, and have been in B the last two. It just so happened, that by the time I got to the line this year, I was down to G. Does this mean I have any much less of a right to stand than anyone else, especially since I block the view of no one,...I don't tby Drew042 - Hockey
Re: Section G - 21 years ago
Thanks Ben...all of the people that I know in the section waited out like the rest of the student sections. I and several others have been going to games for the last six years (not because I am a perpetual student...but because I am doing my vet degree here as well) and feel that this is a huge slight to the Lynah faithful to which we are a part of.by Drew042 - Hockey
Section G - 21 years ago
As enjoyable as tonights game was, there was a bit of an uprising in section G. About halfway through the first period, the cops (especially the one who must eat about a dozen donuts a day...for those of you who are at the game, I am sure you know who I am talking about) began ordering students in Section G to sit down. Since this year, as in other years, the demand for hockey tickets was so grby Drew042 - Hockey
Cornell at Harvard Tickets - 21 years ago
Although I usually just read the posts to satiate my love of Cornell hockey I thought that I would let everyone know that the Cornell ticket office received 100 tickets for the Harvard game on feb. 15th yesterday. As of this morning when I bought mine the ticket office lady had about 40 or so left. They are in the middle of section 14. Also, as a side note, while I was waiting in line this yeaby Drew042 - Hockey
