Cornell 22nd in top 50 list - folks going on to PHDs in Science - 13 years ago
Interesting - Top 50 Schools that Produce Science PhDs As a Swarthmore grad and with family having gone to Oberlin and other small colleges _ I chose to encourage my kids to go to small liberal arts schools for undergrad education. May be something to that not sure - maybe just emotional and personal attachment. 28 of the 50 are clearly small L.A. colleges - not counting specializby profudge - John Spencer Is Dead

Ithaca Journal Highlighting the schedule is a home-and-home series with Mercyhurst, which was ranked No. 1 nationally when the Big Red upset them in last season's NCAA semifinals. Currently reading John McPhee's new book "Silk Parachute" and finding it highly educational and enjoyable as I have found most of his previous books. My favorite being probably "Coming into the Country" or maybe "Encounters with the Archdriud" but I highly recommend any of his works as good summer and travel reading! They have stated they are going to take their time and mount a nationwide search. Sending an e-mail to my cousin, and his Dad, and wish him luck (sophomore D-man at OSU) - Tough to have coach shift on you at times. Markell always ran a good program there from everything I read and have heard. Any other openings at class D1 programs ?by profudge - Hockey

If you are ever in Astoria Oregon - visit the museum and light ship on the river front there - very worth about 3-5 hours as the history and exhibits are extensive and interesting. The pilots earn there pay much of the year!by profudge - Other Sports
