Lax final four weekend sites through 2022. NCAA is downsizing its aspirations for crowd size, picking a 38,000 seat stadium in East Hartford for 2021, 2022.
Hofstra is getting a lot of action for quarterfinal play, hosting (if I read this right) every year, 2017-2022, despite coming perilously close to selling out the 12,000 seat stadium when lacrosse is played there. The only times the NCAA ventures west of the eastern seabord is Notre Dame in 2021 and Ohio State in 2022.

The NCAA has announced sites for the 2019-22 quarterfinal and championship sites.
Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia will host in 2019 and ’20, while ’21 and ’22 will be hosted by Fairfield University and played in East Hartford, Conn. The DII and DIII championships are scheduled to be played with them. Rentschler Field in East Hartford is the home of UConn football, and it seats 38,066 according to its website.
In 2021, Notre Dame Stadium will host an NCAA Quarterfinals round, and Ohio Stadium will do the same in ’22.
For women’s, the championships will be in Baltimore for four years.
This year’s NCAA Championship will be held at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., with both the men’s and women’s events in one place. In 2018, Stony Brook will host the women’s Championship Weekend, while Gillette will host the men’s again, as previously announced by the NCAA.

I like the move to Hartford (and not only because it's only a 2 hour drive for me). That seems like just the right size for a final four venue now.

Good for all the NYS / NJ / New England schools. NCAA isn't going out of its way to experiment with FF locations recognizing Denver and the Big Ten being powers ... if they can't guarantee 30,000 bodies for the final.

Interesting, since I'm currently typing 3 miles from Rentschler Field. They dropped a stadium for UConn football in the middle of a shuttered air strip, and there's really nothing else there...other than a Cabella's for some reason. It has hosted US National Team soccer games and the sight lines are all pretty good. Oh, and you can wait a full hour to escape the parking lots because they only open one exit for events.

The Baltimore crowd has been apoplectic ever since the poll got replaced by playoffs and the playoffs got off to a bad start with Cornell beating Maryland. They cannot fathom a UMass making the title game or a Denver winning it. Screw 'em. If it's really that bad, the Lax Swami will come out of retirement and orchestrate a protest.CU77

Although the NCAA is gonna look silly choosing Hofstra as a near-permanment site when 15,000 Cornell / Maryland, Syracuse / Albany fans try to get into a 12,000-seat stadium for a quarterfinal game. Or would the NCAA rather that a couple thousand fans be turned away so the TV audience sees every seat full in the stadium?

Have to imagine the southern schools didn't bid? Or maybe ncaa sees quarter sites closer together increasing the chance of fans hitting both venues?
