From the Cornell Athletics story regarding the new additions to the baseball team:
"This class has a good mix of positions and skills that rounds out our team nicely," said Bill Walkenbach, who will return for his seventh season as the Ted Thoren Head Coach of Baseball. "These young men will add a great deal to the chemistry of our ball club and will continue to make it fun to come out to the yard every day. We want grinders on our team, and these guys fit the description."
Translation: "We whiffed on our top targets"
