It looks like a another losing season ahead.

Edit: Glad I'm wrong in this game and I hope I'm equally wrong on the season outcome. :-D

You may turn out to be correct, but it's now 17-13 Cornell.

But this Ivy League network does not deliver the pregame or halftime discussions. Giant step backward, as the video quality is at least as bad if not worse.

Audio quality is much better from WHCU directly

That's nice but why isn't it available over ILDN. Just sent an email to Robin Harris at Ivy League HQ expressing my dissatisfaction.

Wouldn't it have made sense to test this whole business with a lesser Cornell sport before today?

From the twitter feed: [twitter.com]

FB: More Jeff Mathews ... Completions to Gellatly, Sharpiro and then a TD strike to Hagy puts the Big Red up, 24-13 at the 10:02 mark.

And we missed yet another touchdown: FB: DE-FENCE!! DE-FENCE!! Kevin Marchand forces a fumble and Tre' Minor picks it up at the 18 and runs it in for his first career TD!

Wow fumble on the fake field goal results in another defensive touchdown for Cornell 38-13. Its a shame ILDN is not living up to the football team's play today

Wrote to him in the first half, but a very different problem in the second half. Video quality OK when it's working, but interruption after interruption.

Bucknell looked pretty good until it started to rain. Coincidence?

Strange game. Time of possession: 40 minutes for Bucknell, 20 minutes for Cornell. Key stat was 6 turnovers for Bucknell, 0 for Cornell. Yale crunched Colgate today. Next week's a reality check.

I didn't watch the game but I just looked at the box score and it seems similar to past problems. Cornell had 17 total net rushing yards while giving up 230. Nine penalties for 70 yards.

Is there a lesser Cornell sport than football?

(OK, it's an unnecessary cheap shot after a big win, but still, someone had to say it.)

Can't agree with the above statement, with an attendance of over 15,000 reported at Homecoming. Hopefully Dave Archer's youthful enthusiasm will translate into more wins.

I said something similarly snarky last year and was (immediately and justifiably) reminded that football still outdraws hockey in alumni gifts by a huge amount.

Anyway, I am sure we all agree they should do a better job supporting the streaming product, regardless of the sport. The fact that many other schools with fewer resources, a lower national profile, and less investment in their technical programs destroy us in the quality of their streaming services is a brutal embarrassment.

Based on what I could tell from the video, there were a lot closer to 1,500 who stayed past halftime. The Homecoming attendance number is always huge, but the number of people in that crowd actually interested in the game is much smaller. If Cornell can average 7,000 or so a game, I'd consider that pretty good.

As a Jets fan, I can state with some authority that there are some loyalties that are simply unexplainable from any rational standpoint.

I do wonder how many of the homecoming attendees are there for the football, versus those there because it's homecoming, and "Homecoming!" and booze and reliving old memories on the hill and whatnot, without all the bother of Reunion. I suspect a lot of half-hearted hockey fans do the same thing for the Harvard game.

From the webcast (the part I could see anyway) it looked like an impressively large crowd to start the game, so I'm not surprised by the 15,000 announced crowd.
