D still porous, running game still absent, and pass protection still poor.
Play calling not so hot, either. And movement on a 4th and 1.
Other than that, Mrs Lincoln...

Terrible play calling with first down on the Brown three. But a controversial Brown penalty gives a second chance. 7-7

Brown goes easily down the field to regain the lead, 14-7. No pass rush, huge holes opened by the Brown line.

Brown up by 7 in the third. Perhaps it was wishful thinking that we had a chance to be the class of the Ivies in 2012, excepting Harvard.

False start on a 4th and one on the Brown 20. Terrible mistake. Long field goal misses badly.

Cornell intercepts in Brown territory. Much excitement on the Cornell audio feed, almost as much as "do you believe in miracles?"

Another false start on the Brown 9. And a quick sack puts it on the 24. And Brown intercepts a wounded duck.

Saves Cornell fans possibly seeing another FGA wobble into the end zone. Brad Greenway, we miss you. Al, you are at home, not in Providence where it seems a great day for football?Al DeFlorio

How many frustrating afternoons of Cornell football does one have to endure before saying "screw it?" For all the Austin hype, this is not a well-coached team. False starts on critical plays. Porous offensive and defensive lines after three years in Ithaca. Terrible tackling. Suckered by every misdirection play or roll-out. Really depressing to watch this.billhoward

Brown's fourth-string running back (the first three are hurt) is running through us as if we aren't on the field.

Worst onsides kick ever. Line drive out of bounds. Amazing this game isn't 35-14 or worse. Two timeouts burned within three plays mid third quarter when the offense didn't know what to do. So no way to stop the clock with two minutes left.

For older alumni, Brown and Columbia for years meant you were almost guaranteed two Ivy wins a year.

Austin needs to recruit bigger defensive linemen. You can't have your defensive backs making more tackles than the Dline and expect to win games.

And you can't expect to win games with an offensive line that neither opens holes nor protects the passer.Ken711

Agreed. It's been so long since Cornell displayed a balanced attack. You need big line to get a push and open lanes for the running game. Cornell's defensive line has been the smallest in the Ivy League even through all the Jim Knowles years.
