From humb le in Laxpower:

Ivy – Princeton (#14 RPI, #29 SOS, QWs – Villanova(12)) – The Ivies are looking more and more like a one-bid league. The winner of Princeton-Cornell earns the right to host the Ivy tournament.
The loser is going to face an uphill climb to make it in as an at-large team.

The pressure is on.

Anybody aware of an establishment in Providence RI that has ESPNU?

ESPNU is often (but not always) simulcast on ESPN3.com.

I cant find any information online... Does anyone know:
A) is the game tonight at Class of 52 (the lax field) or Princeton Stadium?
B) if the former, are tickets still available? (I figure the stadium wouldn't be sold out)

Princeton athletics web site says Class of 1952: [www.goprincetontigers.com]

No idea about ticket availability.

Even if it sells out, which is unlikely, there is considerable standing room. Princeton also declares sellouts when there are hundreds of empty seats. So go. We're heading down in a bit.

Highlight of the night was Mike French's goal against Maryland in the 1976 NCAA championship game shown in the montage after returning from commercial breaks.

The main stands were pretty full and the ushers said there were no seats available in the Cornell bloc (about half the main stands) and then when you pointed out a block of 4-5 empty seats, they said, "Okay, but I'm shutting it down after this [letting Cornell fans into the empty seats]." There were a couple hundred empty seats in the smaller opposite stands. Another 1,000 people could have attended, certainly another 500. [edit add:] attendance announced at 4133 which would be capacity if you only used the stands, but about 1,000 people can line the fence.

Truth. Although Donovan's 4g night and Lang's fabulous cross-handed goal from a flat angle skinning the far post were pretty terrific too.

I didn't feel that bad about it- didn't like the chances of beating Princeton twice in 8-9 days, and I'd rather have the next one. Clearly the defense wasn't showing all their usual slide combos to save some surprises for next time. Or maybe they just didn't execute, that's possible, but I'm betting Bronzino has a much better weekend next trip to Class of '52. And also that our pole #15 learned a few things last night. Noble didn't look 100%.

I watched Dartmouth at Brown in the afternoon, and Brown looked good. Saw our game at a place called Spats just off campus sitting at the bar with a few of the Brown players and team alums. Nice bunch of guys who, before knowing my connection gave our team a lot of props.

Brown women, although very intelligent tended toward short, and homely. Didn't matter to me, guys my age are invisible to 'em anyway.**]

Daniel Seligman in Fortune magazine, as he was going from contrarian to cantankerous (and to Forbes), claimed that the best looking coeds in the world attended Ivy League schools. His argument being that the Ivies turn out rich guys, not all handsome, who are able to meet, marry, and breed with attractive women. Then in the next generation his brains and her looks get their offspring into the Ivies as well. Um, wouldn't that mean the men would also be better looking? Tim, we must have attended before the Seligman Rule took effect. (Seligman argued that IQ is partly "heritable" and also argued there are meaningful differences in IQ among the races. Seligman died the week Obama was inaugurated.)

If you are visible to Brown women, their observations might make you wish you weren't.

Noble was clearly not 100%. Someone reported on laxpower that he needed help removing his pinney after warmups.

But what if they get his looks and her brains? Or just an average of both?

An issue of grave concern in the UK when Charles married Diana. It could have gone either way.
