Mercury Bar - PACKED

Great showing at the Mercury Bar for the game. My coworkers couldn't even make to where I was at the back bar, so they gathered at the bar next door, which had a decent overflow crowd.
I randomly asked one guy how he heard about the gathering there, and he said it came up on several lists that he's on. When I said it was being talked about on the hockey forum, his reply was "I thought the hockey crowd always meets at a place on the Upper East Side."
All together everyone... wave to the lurkers!!!

Just realized that my opening post reads like a facetiming thing. Sorry. I guess that's because the game wasn't much to discuss. At least we're not Mississippi Valley State.
By the way, I expected far more raucousness when the feed dropped for 5 minutes in the first half. And no one was biting on my Stanford... Sucks! attempts. These were obviously not hockey fans.
For the record, Harvard sucks. And I wish that UConn sucked (or for the purposes of the cheer, Connecticut).

Sorry I didn't catch you there, G, but my boss and my officemate and I somehow managed to get seats at the bar and we weren't about to risk giving those up. I was also very pleased with the Cornell crowd (especially its breadth), and had to laugh when a couple of Stanford fans left rather than deal with our noise.
