I would have been super pissed if there was also a Stanford/Cornell matchup here too, since it was a possibility.

It's really too bad the Ticket Office couldn't get the right order form up. I wanted to order tickets for a possible Bridgeport game, but I'm on vacation and couldn't find the form online. I guess I'll have to go another route, unless someone has any other ideas.

Maybe they can reach 50 points.

Before I complain, I should actually try buying tickets. I went to the Arena at Harbor Yard website and easily purchased 2 tickets to the game. I'm surprised, since it is right in the heart of UCONN territory. Let's go Red!

Considering the ticket office didn't know the form wasn't online until I called late afternoon, I think they may still have some of the allotted CU tickets available. I wouldn't be surprised if someone called in the morning and was able to still get tickets.

Maybe, but with the swarming D we brought against Dartmouth, this may be a tall order for the Huskies.

UConn has played at Harbor Yard before in the NCAAs, and it usually doesn't sell out. For one thing, the UConn games usually start around 9:30 on worknights, discouraging many fans from going. And the first-round game is always a blowout.

With the Cornell women playing in Bridgeport on Sunday, that should help out the the Pep band. The band can play in Albany Friday and Saturday and then make the 90 or so minute trip to Bridgeport on Sunday.
According to the ESPN guru's the Lady Huskies do not shoot well from the charity stripe, so maybe "Fight, Kill, Maim" might be a good game plan (that and some very good outside shooting!).
The Lady Vols are coming to West Lafayette. I probably should get tickets for that.

Damn, when did they build the Autobahn between Albany and Bridgeport? It's close to 140 miles between the two. That'll be one fast bus ride. Although, if they hire a Fung Wah bus driver, 90 minutes sounds about right.
Nevertheless, I think you're onto something there. No worse than playing at Sucks and Dartmouth, or Quinnipiac and Princeton on back-to-back nights.
Bring on the Pep Band!

I'm not sure you've built in enough cushion for bus catching on fire.

It has been almost 8 years since I have driven in CT and NY, but "back in the day" CT people were doing 70-75 in the right hand lane on I-84 on a regular basis. I guess I should have "mapquested" the distance.

The only UConn game I've seen in any sport was this past Dec. 29 (during break) vs. UHartford in women's basketball. UConn won 70-23. Maya Moore for a time was outscoring Hartford by herself. Attendance (again, for a break game) was 14,581. Oh, and Hartford is a #10 seed in the Tournament.
Dare I say it now? If Cornell wins, it will be The Greatest Upset in the History of Women's Basketball (tm). Even bigger than #16 Harvard over #1 Stanford ten years ago.
I'm calling for a ticket tomorrow. UConn sucks. LET'S GO RED!!!

From what I hear, the pep band will be covering basketball in anaheim and bridgeport and not hockey. An alumni band is in the works for Albany. Those more in the know than I could probably elaborate.

There are currently 20 band members signed up through athletics to attend the women's game. We are allotted 30 spots by the NCAA.
