At 215, Oney Snyder has a tough path ahead to crack the lineup. I don't know how Snyder stacks up against Zach Hammond or Maciej Jochym, but Hwt. is a deep weight class.

Hammond, currently a junior, qualified for the NCAAs as a sophomore and was on track for All-American this year before breaking his elbow. He is expected to be recovered for his senior year.

His backup, Jochym, is a frosh who has already shown enough promise that he is considered to have a reasonable chance of qualifying for the NCAAs this year. There are whispers on the Cornell wrestling forum that he is going to redshirt next year to give himself three years as the starter.

Even dropping down to 197 isn't an easy road, as Josh Arnone, currently a soph, was an All-American in 2007 at 184 and may move up to 197 next year. Justin Kerber, currently wrestling at 197 for Cornell (but undersized, making the move back to 184 more likely) is also a soph, and has wrestled very well since winning the starting slot at 197.
