Mizz 78 Cornell 59 Final

Much better showing than last year although the score might indicate otherwise. Last year it was over by halftime. We just couldn't get the shots to fall and a team like Mizz will take advantage of that. Their pressure D was really too much for us.

Foote missed some easy chippies that would have kept us in it for a little bit longer but he also had some good boards too. Wittman had 18 but was luke warm at best. I feel bad for Dale who went 1-11 from the floor. Overall we shot .359 and that's just not going to keep us in too many ball games.

But give credit to Mizz. They shot almost 90% from the line and only had 3-4 turnovers (I think). There D was pesky all the way to the bitter end.

Great season. With the nucleus of the team returning there's no reason why we shouldn't be back in the dance next year.

Small silver lining: The team we lost to didn't get rolled over the next game. With takedowns of Marquette and now Memphis (the 2-seed in the region), Missouri is now in the round of eight. Go Tigers. (Those Tigers.)
