Scared me a second.

I half expected to see that Tambroni quit Cornell to take a job at a "name" program.

First time through the press release I didn't notice this at the very bottom of the list of awardees:

* NCAA Team of the Year: Cornell University

Got that one right, too.

[Edit: Hmmm. Wonder if you must have FieldTurf installed to be in the running for one of these awards. If so...]

You two gentlemen hit on the same is-the-glass-half-empty? questions I had from CornellFan's Joe Friday-style heading: News about Tambroni in December, could that be good news or bad news ... and, yep, does the team of the year get bonus points in the poll for playing on FieldTurf?

Were people such cynics before, say, George Bush? The Vietnam War? Martin Luther?
