Cornell edged the Lady Deer Ticks 4-3 on Saturday, after beating No. 10 Princeton 7-4 on Friday night.
Cornell was down 3-0 to the Tigers in the second period before scoring 4 goals in the final 6:23 of the second and adding two more in the third before Princeton could respond. Rebecca Johnston scored Cornell's seventh goal to give the Big Red some more breathing room with a little over ten minutes to play, giving her a goal and two assists on the night.

Saturday's win was also a comeback victory, as Cornell was down 3-1 in the second. That could have been a huge let-down game, as I believe the QC women's team is likely to be one of the bottom 2 or 3 teams in the league.

I was not at either game, but this was a huge weekend for Cornell. Princeton's a strong team this season with some wins over top quality opponents, and the Big Red will need some more weekends like this to make the playoffs. The women's ECAC is typically one of the tougher conferences, and if anything it seems like there's more depth in the league this year, with teams like Yale, Princeton, and Clarkson all getting off to a pretty good start and teams like Cornell and RPI playing these teams tough early.
