Figured this deserved its own thread. If there's anyone else in Seattle, I'm in. My hotel room in Lynnwood gets ESPNU, so I'm just planning to watch it here unless anyone has a better idea.

Go Red!

Are the DC people getting together at the same place?

I'm up for watching the game with others in the Boston area. If there's others interested, let me know and I can see what we can get - Sports Depot, Union Street, etc.

There will be no Philadelphia TV event for the quarterfinal game at Princeton.

Any lax fans in the Philly area who are able to go to game but choose not to do so, please report to the cleaning room behind the stables -- we have some boot treads that need to get cleaned with toothbrushes.

I'm hoping to be able to watch at least part of it, but would work best if it were in the Brighton/Brookline area (Sports Depot, etc). Please announce on here if anyone is planning to watch at any bar near Boston.

Just an FYI that I went to Union Street in Newton last Saturday and didn't receive a very warm welcome. The Red Sox were playing (this week the Red Sox game is on at 7pm so no conflict) and the bar had maybe 20 people... all the screens were on the Red Sox and apparently they are not on independant boxes (changing a TV to lax would change some of the other ones as well) There was no chance to hear the lax game (actually they were playing music instead of the Red Sox audio) After some back and forth with a manger they put me at the end of the bar and changed the channel on a set (displaced one lady who was fairly gracious)... if they had just admitted that the bar was half empty and they werent going to lose any money putting me in the big booth in the corner it would have saved a lot of hassle (and their underworked waiter would have gotten a nice tip)

The beer was cold and the bartender attentive, but I cant recommend it for viewing the game this weekend

Without a Red Sox conflict, we might be able to get the room at Sports Depot and have some audio, but I would think they would want at least a dozen people (enough to keep a server busy) to open it up (just my hunch)
I will probably be around and have a few other alums I can try to convince... but I might end up playing a volleyball tournament so I cant be on the hook to arrange it (sorry)
