I might actually be able to make it for at least a part of it, if all my flights/rides into the city are on time (fat chance). How long would it take to walk there from the Metro?

A Philadelphia venue is in the works (perhaps even one in Center City and one in the 'burbs). Stay tuned.

Come out of the Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams-Morgan red line metro stop, head south on Connecticut (south is the direction you're facing when you're at the top of the escalator). Hang a left on Calvert Road at the first traffic light. Cross the bridge over Rock Creek Park, and when Calvert hits Columbia and 18th street and ends, cross Columbia and head down 18th. It would take like 10 or 15 minutes at most.

So what network is carrying the game, anyway?

Thanks. Looking at the ESPN site, it seems not to be available on ESPN360 (which I couldn't get here anyway, but still...)

I see a "listen" but not "watch" link under "all" access.

I just moved to Orlando and am going to catch the game at the Orlando Ale House in Winter Park:

[orlando.citysearch.com]

I called and they're happy to set up a TV or two for this. If anyone else is in Central Florida, I'd love some company (I may bring my wife along). I'll try to get in touch with the Cornell Club of Central Florida, perhaps they have a mailing list to get this out.

Where to watch in Philadelphia

We've found a Philadelphia viewing location (another one in the suburbs may be added soon).

The Cornell Club of Greater Philadelphia is hosting a gathering to watch the Cornell-Towson playoff game this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Fox & Hounds Smokehouse and Tavern in Center City Philadelphia (1501 Spruce Street, 215-732-8610). They've promised us at least a semi-private room (the Burgundy Room) and sound -- and if enough people show up they may move the group to the huge screen. I won't be there, but the CCGP person running the event is Meghan Cunningham and the primary in-house contact is Julio Tamarez, a manager.

Awesome. It's a big game so I presume he'll be the one in the team's huddle that stands out like a sore thumb?

There is about a 50/50 chance I will be at the Sports Depot in Allston
The game (ESPNU) will certainly be on, but all you are likely to hear is the Red Sox on NESN (starts at 1:30pm)

Unfortunately because of my uncertainty on being free, I cant arrange anything to make sure we could hear the game (they have at least one large private room, doubtful they would want to open it up for less than a dozen people, but who knows)

Kevin

ps. Has anyone in the Boston area caught a game at the Union Street Bar in Newton Center before... I only tried going once and after waiting for a good 20 minutes with no one even taking my name for a table I left. Not sure what their layout is but it could be easier to find a corner somewhere that the Red Sox wasnt the only audio you could hear

Union street has the main bar area upstairs which can get a little loud--though i don't know about Saturday afternoon. The basement kind of looks bland, but has small TV's on the wall. If you call them and say they have the game, they may be willing to turn up the volume on one of the TV's downstairs and give you a table next to it.

I wouldn't mind going to the Coolidge Corner Clubhouse for one of these games (if we continue to win), but, as with every other place, they fill for sox games. I wonder if there is a place with a decent lacrosse following or an owner who used to play. Given it's in Newton, Union St. might be that place.

Has anybody had luck in the past with some of these games showing up on Sopcast?

I'm unable to hit up a bar, and thought maybe I'd give it a shot.
