Apparently there is evidence of an affair with a player and head coach Tom Mutch has stepped down.
I need to get myself to gayhab because when I read the link "BC women's hockey coach resigns amid probe" followed by the headline "Former coach accused of misconduct with athlete," I instantly assumed that the coach was a woman as well.
Now I'm stuck on "'resigns amid probe'? that'll break the mood... hehehe." And I'm ashamed.

Well, in your defense, your subconscious may have been influenced by the story of LSU's women's basketball coach from earlier this year.

Even if not, it's a good excuse, right?

Or, the answer to "Can I hit that?" is always no.

Wait, so you're saying I have to fully read and click on links in posts before I comment on them? Unreasonable.

What's odd/interesting about the ESPN article is that it says that the student-athletic texted the coach with sexually suggestive language, but no indication that he replied. I guess the assumption is that she wouldn't have done that unless there was a relationship between her and the coach.
Assumptions. Uh oh.

Yes, it's likely that there's more to it than just the player sending a graphic text message to the coach. That's just the only "evidence" that has been leaked to the press. I think it's a fair assumption to assume that there is more to it based on the fact that the coach resigned as soon as the investigation began.JasonN95

You mean no calling your players racially insensitive names?

Yeah, a resignation that quickly doesn't exactly scream "I have nothing to hide."KeithKYes, it's likely that there's more to it than just the player sending a graphic text message to the coach. I think he was doing, ahem, color commentary for one of the playoff games I watched a few nights ago. I'm guessing one of the Canadian broadcasts that VS picks up as "bonus" coverage.

"... resigns amid probe" wasn't all the incautiously worded news. Try this:
In the wake of the dark days at LSU, it's reassuring to see a return to traditional illicit relationships between opposite-sex coaches/professors and students in the locker room and classroom. Why should gays and lesbians have all the fun?

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=2848335[/url] The Boston Herald, citing an anonymous source, reported the nature of the conduct involved graphic text messages allegedly sent to Mutch by 19-year-old Kelli Stack, who just completed her freshman season under Mutch.
