The first quarter is over. The defense looked a little shaky on the first posession, but have caused a ton of H turnovers. If the offense could actually get their shots on net, they would probably be up by a bit more.

Thanks for the updates. It is actually possible that I could care less about the results of this game, so I'll keep checking in.

:)

Cornell starts hitting the net and keeps causing Harvard turnovers. They open up the lead just like I predicted. Harvard takes a timeout as they are losing control of the game.

I can't say how good Harvard is, but I like what I see thusfar. Forcing a lot of turnovers, winning a lot of groundballs it appears, looking quite solid after a modest start. I'm no expert, but I don't see a particular weakness this came I can point to.

Out of town scores:
Duke 6, JHU 5 (halftime)
Albany 8, Stony Brook 2 (halftime)

Duke has jumped out to an 8-5 lead in the third. A duke win is probably pretty good for us, although if JHU keeps losing they aren't even going to count as a quality win.

We're at 13-4 cornell as Mithcell scores right at the buzzer at the end of 3.

The Swami's anti-Albany bias comes back to haunt him again.

Wow - I hope our pep band has depth. They're going to get worn out this season playing Davy so much!!

JHU is closing the gap. 10-8 Duke with 8:30 left in the game.

FYI, I'm not going to be able to start the Princeton thread (family event out of town that weekend) or the Brown one probably (hope to be there). I shall do the Syracuse and Dartmouth ones though (and Hobart), so long as no one else starts it first. But feel free to begin arguing now about who does PU and Brom :)

Duke wins.
Moving them up to 3 and dropping Cornell to 5 behind Duke and JHU (who moved up to #4 for staying within 2 of Duke).

Princeton's offense shows up at home. SU now losers of 2 straight and 5 on the season. Two more losses and all the history in the world won't put them in the playoffs.

It appears the team is coming together nicely with many players involved in scoring. The Big Red need to keep it going at the Carrier Dome as Syracuse is still a dangerous team. Despite their recent struggles they have a 5 goal win over Georgetown and only a 3 goal loss to Virginia - both highly ranked teams.
Does anyone know why Brian Clayton didn't play today? I assume he's injured but there wasn't any announcement during the All-Access broadcast, which by the way I very much enjoy from my home near Tampa. Those snow flurries were especially nice to see from afar.

Notes: Tambroni said Clayton could have played Saturday but was rested because “it was in his best interest and our best interest for the length of the season to keep him out.” His status for Syracuse is uncertain.

The Journal must have sent a PM to ... oh, never mind, we've kind of worn that one out.
