Cornell is currently 14-10 overall and 7-3 in the Ivy League. There are
four remaining games left on the schedule, two at home—but all very
winnable. Obviously a championship is the ultimate goal, but here are some
other team milestones worth shooting towards.

If Cornell splits the remaining four games, going 2-2, Cornell will have
won 9 Ivy games for the first time since the 1992-1993 season. In
addition, a split would give Cornell 16 overall wins. The last time the
Big Red won 16 overall games was also the 1992-1993 season.

If Cornell wins three of its remaining four, the last time Cornell won 17
overall games and 10 Ivy games was 1987-1988, the Ivy Championship year,
where the Big Red went 17-10 overall and 11-3 in conference.

If the Big Red wins out the season and finishes with 11 Ivy wins and 18
overall wins, it would be the Red’s best overall record since 1966-1967
when Cornell went 19-5 overall and 11-3 Ivy.

Last time Cornell won 15 overall games (1996-1997)
Last time Cornell won 16 overall games (1992-1993)
Last time Cornell won 17 overall games (1987-1988 Ivy Champs)
Last time Cornell won at least 18 overall games (1966-1967, 19 wins overall)
Last time Cornell won 9 Ivy games (1992-1993)
Last time Cornell won at least 10 Ivy games (1987-1988 Ivy Champs, 11-3 Ivy
League)

So, what're the odds that we'll win the Ivy Championship with each of those scenarios?

By the way, Cornell Fan, thanks for all the basketball info. I don't respond to it often, but I enjoy reading it.

Cornell is still alive, but Penn must lose two additional games (with five remaining on its schedule) while the Big Red must win-out its last four games in order to force a playoff scenario for the NCAA bid.

I'd say Cornell has a very good chance of winning out its last four games, but very little hope of Penn losing an additional game, let alone two games.

At 7-3 right now, I'd love to see this team go 10-4 or better. I really believe we have a better team next year with the return/additions of Jason Hartford (6'9" 240), Adam Gore, Collin Robinson, Jeff Foote (7'0" 220) and Aaron Richardson-Osgood (6'9" 220). we may also get back Shawn Oliverson (6'11" 245) who has been on an LDS (mormon) mission the last two years in the U.S. (Shawn has to decide if he wants to play upon his return to campus.)
