Andy thinks we could be seeded anywhere from 10-13 in the tournament. I've seen much higher seed predictions from Joe Lunardi and others. It's nice to be in the mainstream CBB press so often!
FWIW, I don't think we'll know how good this team really is until we see them in the tournament. I expect this team to sweep the Ivy League schedule pretty easily. The real test will be when we face a Power-6 conference opponent at a neutral site in the tournament. Regardless of our seed, I think whoever we play will be a tough out.

Agreed, but I'd just assume avoid the 8/9 slot, since a win would draw a 1. Strange game -- if you have confidence that Cornell can play with all but the top 20, then an 11 is a "better" seed than a 10 or 9...
And of course a 12 is always the "magic" seed, with a weirdly good record against 5's.

Good article, even if the headline (duh! Of course a team in the Top 25 should have a shot to win in March) and first few paragraphs (getting a little too philosophical -- our ranking has nothing to do what voters think might happen 45 days from now, and everything to do with who we've beaten and who we've played) were a little strange.
It also surprised me to see quotes from Amaker about how far we should go in the tournament. If I were him, my mindset would be how Cornell's really going to be on the bubble once Harvard beats us twice later in the year. Of course, that could be his mindset, but not something he's going to quote for an article.

Aren't we getting a little ahead of ourselves. We still could lose a couple of games. Not that I think we will, but I hope the team is not thinking like that.YankeeLobo

Yeah, can you imagine the poster in our locker room if he had said they were going to win the Ivy and we needed an at large?Jordan 04

He's just trying to put pressure on our players and take it off his players. Seems like a reasonable motivational strategy to me.Jordan 04
