No. "This" is actually just a link to your blog.

Yes, but, at least he gave us a heads up what its about. Not just a "See some great news at my blog".
At least you have enough info to decide if its worth your while to visit or not. That much is appreciated.

Back when this was initially "teased" I was going to hazard a guess of St. John's at the Garden but figured a Cornell/Johnnies game would be played on campus instead. I hadn't thought about the tournament option.
Although looking at the field for this tournament, it probably could be played in Carnesecca Arena with plenty of room to spare for all interested fans.

All of the Cornell students will be back on LI and Jersey for the holidays. Exams will be over in Ithaca. Also, with all the Cornell and St. John's alums in the NYC area, not to mention Hofstra, this event could potentially draw 10,000+ (if Cornell Athletics markets it enough).
Granted this not Cornell-BU hockey (which may itself struggle to sell as many tix as 2 years ago), but I'd tend to think a Cornell-St. John's ticket can at least half fill MSG.
I guess a lot depends on Cornell's November hoops performances. Need to create a bit of buzz about this team.

I used to go to the ECAC Holiday tournament all the time; it didn't sell out for Danny Manning and Kansas - and St. John's was good then.Jordan 04

Cornell hockey and basketball both playing at MSG, within a month of each other? Pretty cool!

FYI, last year the Saturday afternoon semifinal games were Columbia vs. VA Tech and St. John's vs. Marist and attendance was 4,713.
[goredfoxes.cstv.com]
Also tickets were $40 and $25 for different seating levels.
I couldn't find attendance information for Sunday afternoon but I would imagine it would be no more than 5k.

Columbia may have the most apathetic alums in the Ivy League, not to mention, their basketball team is terrible. I think our alum base could draw at least a couple thousand more for the Garden.
