Interestingly, the Cornell press box was not integrated with women reporters until circa 1971 when The Crimson's reporter was denied access. (Unless it was integrated to women much early, then access was removed.) The sports information director at the time said loudly, "No women in the press box." That edict did not apply to the wife of the athletics director, who was there at the time. Cornell reversed the ruling at a higher level the next week.
